[ Mingye gives a bit of a nod to that statement before he maneuvers himself from where he's at and then towards where Wangji is at. He's twirling his xiao in one hand while assessing the situation itself, giving a nod towards Wangji. ]

There's a few markets around that have fresh ingredients.

(Mingye is welcomed with a small nod and Wangji moves to walk at his side, his arms crossed behind his back. Bichen is with him - always - but the sword is quiet.)

[ Even as they walk the xiao is twirled more, eyes on the area around them. Weapon wise, however, his weapon was always on his person, but never in sight. It would come to him if they really needed it. He does, however, keep himself between Wangji and the crowd itself. ]

(The protection doesn't go unnoticed. Mingye proves himself a good man, once again, and Wangji likes his company. Coming out like this isn't easy for him; having a friend makes it easier. His babies need to eat!)

[ Protecting each other is something that can definitely happen. The question, however, has him raising a brow. ]

No one has tried to harm me. If they did, I can protect myself, and if I couldn't then there are two others who would not be pleased with whoever harmed me.
