[ The video opens to what looks an awful lot like a rather cheap ceiling brightened by a harsh light off to the side or some such. Leaning just slightly over and into the picture is what appears to be... a book cover? It's a good foot up from the camera and only partially obscuring the ceiling.

There isn't enough to make out a title given the proximity, though. ]

Has anyone else made an earnest attempt to reconcile Nippon's calendar with that of their own world? It's taken me some time, but I believe I have accomplished as much and [ -- the unseen speaker pauses. There's one, two, three, four digits falling against some wooden surface, thoughtful -- ] if I am correct, that would make tomorrow my birthday.

[ She doesn't sound exactly pleased about that fact, but then, why should she? Given when she had been rescued from, where she'd been going, and furthermore -- ]

My siblings and I have never celebrated a birthday apart, not even since we left the Greenwood.

[ I's a small, muttered statement, then another small pause as though she'd realized she'd said as much aloud. ]

For those of you who have been here, how have you reconciled the matter of the calendar and your birthdays? If you've only just arrived, how would you?

Reconciled?

[He wasn't sure what that meant, tilting his head.]

You mean try to line it up with our world's?

Hm, I guess that's a good question. I arrived here in August according to the calendar but it was March 5th when the loop began. Which was actually also my birthday, so I already had one when I got here. Would that make August 5th my new birthday date for next year?

Ah, is that so, my lady? Clearly the thing to do is to celebrate your special day with new friends so that you don't have to be lonely.

What would you like for a birthday gifting?

I haven't thought much about it, my birthday was never very important before.

[ he hums softly ] I suppose it's up to you to decide. That's what everyone always did in the world I was in before this one.

When it comes to birthday's, if it's mere months I would think going my convenience rather than accuracy would be sufficient. Although, I would argue even just a one year difference wouldn't hold much water. I won't be any different because I'm celebrating my birthday five months early or even nearly a year early.

I would say opting for convenience would be best, otherwise you start overthinking things trying to be accurate. Life's too short to worry about celebrating things on time.

[ right, right! ]

I didn't come directly from my world into this one. I was in a different world. [ in a way, he is... well, glad. Because it means his original world isn't under a timeloop. However, he is still worried about the world left behind regardless ]

I'm not sure if it's common, but it had happened to others. Not all of us came from our original worlds.

My original world was.... an advanced version of this one, i suppose. [ yeah, it was Japan too. ]

The other world was.. it felt like we were in a game. Like it wasn't real and whatever you did, nothing mattered because it wasn't real...

Because the moment we left, we would forget everything. Us being there was just temporary and people could be there for 5 years and then just be sent back with no memories or changes from that place.

No one knew how.

It was like a dream.
