Wouldn't say it's all, but I'm not gonna brag about the other shit.
[Because he actually didn't care for some of the jobs he did. He still got them done, but even at the time he hated it.]
Mercenary sounds more like someone for hire by anyone. I may be offering my services around here, but I have steady employment.
