[He has quite a stack of tomes, checked out from the library for the most part, when he arrives. The books are set down and arranged neatly once he is inside of Zishu's home. Each important section is marked with a small strip of paper so Zishu needn't read the whole book.

Xingchen pauses, then, a puzzled, worried frown knitting his brow. Injuries sustained in battle he understands, but this? It's new and he doesn't want to make anything worse.]

[ Zishu has tea prepared for them just as Xingchen steps into the usual room they tend to settle in for such things. He leans in to start reading, ears and tails twitching here and there.

He's used medicinal herbs and tools far too much to claim ignorance. Not his husband's level, being the remnant of Healer's Valley...But he's pretty good. ]

A-Shu... He can't identify faces. He doesn't even recognize his own.

[Xingchen settles beside Zishu and points out the chapter on Prosopagnosia.]

I think it must be a problem with the mind, but in his case, there was no head injury.

[ Several warm tails curl around Xingchen, offering warmth and comfort as he slowly nods and reads. ]

I can't remember ever hearing about this condition. How does he cope?

Color. He has even dyed his hair pink. [He absently pets those tails, smoothing out the soft fur.] If I wear white robes, he uses that to recognize me.

[He isn't far, standing out in his white robes - as promised. Smiling at the sight of her, he approaches and then bows at the waist.]
