[The image quality of the communicators might not be the best, but it's still good enough to make out the woman stepping back from where she'd placed the communicator, getting herself into frame properly. Honestly, she's a little out of practice using tech this limited, but it's like riding a bike in the end, right? She gives a little smile and a wave to the camera.]
It feels kind of weirdly nostalgic to be talking to a camera instead of looking at the people I'm communicating with, but hello~! I've actually been here a little while already, but I thought it'd be better to go exploring on foot and look around this world first before I tried meeting others like me.
[Well, that and she wanted to be sure this wasn't the kind of weird event where she had to go find familiar faces, wake up randomly back home, or find an arena to grind out raffle tickets for. The fact that it wasn't that last one hurt a little, but...well. She wasn't in the best mood to be doing that kind of hard work right then anyway, especially without any familiar voices from home. She'd never been the best at leylines, rayshifting, or anything like that, but there sure weren't any signs she'd found of being able to communicate with home base with her own limited experience. At the moment it did seem the time loop thing was real. And somehow not the weirdest thing she's run into. Not that, nor this. Maybe. Jury's still out on the latter.]
Anyway, now that I've settled in, I thought it'd be a good idea to get to know some more people! The name's Ritsuka Fujimaru, but if that's too long or difficult, you can also call me Gudako. I'm fine with either one, really. I'm 23, from Japan - but I've gotten around a bit over the past few years - and I'm O blood type! Other than that...I'm not too sure there's much to say about me, actually. I'm not the most interesting person in the world. But you might be! Tell me about yourself.

It's unfortunate that they haven't figured out facetime. [A tiny smirk]
Why start introductions with your blood type?

I'm Minato Arisato, I'm also from Japan. I'm 18, blood type O, as well. Not much to tell about me, though.
I like music. A lot.
Re: Video
Guess we can only hope for so much with steampunk aesthetic, right? [ She beams back at the small image displayed on the device. At least now that someone's responded she can look at that and not the camera. Even if it'll make her look like she's not looking at him in the process. ]
Well, this place is Japan, right? Not the one I'm from, but a similar one. It makes sense to include my blood type. I've never put that much stock in it, but it's still polite.

[ for no reason in particular. ]
Do you play any instruments?

[He shook his head and held up his clip-on headphones.]
I'm not really the creative type. I guess I just like listening to music a lot. I miss being able to switch my music around though, I'm stuck with my current playlist.

Well, that's fair. I like listening to music, too. Where I was at, it was one of the few relaxing things I could do. [ That, and it's hard not to enjoy music when you knew Mozart and Salieri. But that'd be flexing a bit. ]
