[It was only a matter of time, he supposed, before one of the strange effects of this place happened to him. That doesn't mean he's pleased about it, however. Slightly paniced and quite annoyed, bordering on angry, would be a more accurate way to describe his current mental state.

It would be fun to see the look on peoples faces when you come walking through town accompanied by a giant elk! I could carry anything heavy we might need to buy as well. You'll have to do the actual shopping, though.

[ Another snort slips out of him despite him trying not to laugh ]

[If elk's could smile he'd be wearing a grin right now.]

A bushel or two, I'd think. As long as we secured them to me properly.

[The huff he let's out is as close to laughter as he can get in this form, but at least it does sound somewhat amused.]

[ Maglor laughs cheerfully ]

Two whole bushels? My, you must be starving! We'd best get moving then.

Alas, no one would believe me, so I suppose I can do that!

[He loves his clever little brother but he wouldn't be able to handle another one of him.]

Can you blame me? This form is huge! It must need a lot of food to keep going.

[Maedhros breathes out a sigh of relief. He does not need any more embarrasssing songs of himself out in the world.]

My thanks. I would have had to find some deep, dark hole to hide myself in for the rest of time otherwise and I would so hate to deprive myself of the light of the sun.

[ Maglor agrees. How exactly Curvo managed to produce the ray of sunshine that is his son will be eternally a mystery, but one the whole family is very grateful for ]

[ Maglor threatens fondly, starting to walk towards the market ]

I may have sent of a small prayer in thanks to Eru for that one. That Tyelpe turned out as sweet as he did felt like something of a minor miracle at the time.

[He's not sure he would have been able to deal with both his father as well as two smaller copies of him running about. He'd have gone mad and consigned himself to Lórien for the rest of time.]

I'll endeavour not to turn back on a full stomach.

No. Fond though I am of her as well I can't say he inherited his pleasant disposition from her either.

[Probably. It would have felt a bit like they were entering the endtimes had that happened.] We should. I can smell them from here and if the odour is anything to go by they seem to be of a rather fine quality. It might just be that I'm hungry, though, that makes them smell so good.

I know right? I'd quite forgotten how it felt to truly feel like you want to eat something! Not just reminding yourself you probably should eat something because it's been a while since you last did! It's... it's good! I think I've missed feeling hungry, strangely enough.

[ Maglor nudges his side fondly ]

I am glad. [ He is sure they both remember the Bad Times ] Perhaps we should take this as an opportunity to get you used to eating regularly again.

[ Not like this is not EXACTLY how Elrond treated him when he first showed up /cough ]

[He'd nudge him back but he's afraid he'd tip his brother over with the gesture, so he simply turns his head and looks at him with with big fond eyes instead.]

I don't see why not. We could always dry some of them if we don't finnish them off soon enough.

[ He's not saying that having Feanor AND Curufin around in Beleriand contributed to the need to sink it, especially since they were both long dead, but he's also not NOT saying it... ]
