[It was only a matter of time, he supposed, before one of the strange effects of this place happened to him. That doesn't mean he's pleased about it, however. Slightly paniced and quite annoyed, bordering on angry, would be a more accurate way to describe his current mental state.
He is currently glaring quite menacingly at his own reflection at the moment. At the two elk horns that has started to grow from his head, if you wanted to be precise about it.]
If anyone knows how to make these go away I would be very grateful for the assistance.
[His voice is level, almost emotionless, but there is an undercurrent af anger to be heard for those who knows him well enough. One of his ears twitch in annoyance and he notices that though it is still pointed it is now covered in a soft velvety fur now.]

[He'd nudge him back but he's afraid he'd tip his brother over with the gesture, so he simply turns his head and looks at him with with big fond eyes instead.]
I am too. [The Bad Times were pretty hard to forget.] I think we should. Things are different here, we have the time to do so here without having a million far more pressing concerns to see to as well.
I don't see why not. We could always dry some of them if we don't finnish them off soon enough.

[ Aw don't look at him like that!!!!
Maglor flusters and looks away ]
Mm, it's been a long time, hasn't it? Alright. I'll buy us three bushels, and we can go home and you can stuff yourself~!

[Maedhros nudges him softly with muzzle in an affectionate gesture when he looks away.]
A very long time, yes. Such a kind brother I have! But do make sure to have an apple or two yourself, Kano.

[ He's not saying that having Feanor AND Curufin around in Beleriand contributed to the need to sink it, especially since they were both long dead, but he's also not NOT saying it... ]
Yes, yes, I see you're still mother-henning even in this form! You should have been a large chicken~
no subject
[While correlation does not always equal causation he thinks a fairly convincing case could be made for this particular theory.]
You joke about it but would you really want to deal with me as an overgrown chicken, hmmm?
no subject
I don't know, you'd be easier to run away from!
no subject
You sure about that? An angry chicken can be quite speedy when it wishes to be.
no subject
Hm. Maybe. Might be worth it!
no subject
If you say so, brother.

I'm sure you'd be a lovely chicken with pretty plumage~
XD
I'd be the most magnificent chicken~

All broody and puffed up~

Dignified and with the most striking plumage~
no subject
Brooding and puffed up over us!
[ He corrects merrily, and drapes the bags of apples on Maedhros' back to prevent retaliation ]

Could you blame me? The lot of you are always getting into trouble when I'm not looking.
[He still thinks he'd make a handsome rooster, though. The smell of the apples on his back distracts him from arguing too much, though. He could grow used to the renewed apetite he's aquired in this form. His and Maglors eating habits, or more accurately the lack of them, really aren't all that healthy.]

I was a Very Well Behaved Child.
[ Maglor insists with a grin ]
You must be confusing me with our other hellions.
[ Maglor is eating better!!!! Sorta. Kinda. Mostly.
Sometimes.
.... look he'll make them apple pie tonight and maybe that will help. He's pretty sure he can remember how to do that. ]
no subject
An elk does not have any eyebrows to raise but he can still give Maglor a long and sceptical look.]
Were you now? Or were you just a better behaved child when compared to someone like Tyelko?
[Because there is a vast difference between a well behaved child and a child that's better behaved than their most troublesome brother.]
Hard to confuse the one with the habit of shrieking loud enough to crack and shatter glass when he did not get his way with anyone else.
[Not to throw stones in glass houses but eating better is kind of a low bar for either of them to clear.
He'd help, but... that would depend if he'd be back in his own shape by then.]
no subject
Also wow, he didn't know Elk could make that sort of facial expression ]
I was.... mostly a very good and well behaved child?
[ ........ ]
That was one time! Two times. Um. Any time before that I was a baby and can't be held responsible!
[ They are both doing their best! For Elrond, who would be sad if they didn't at least TRY and maintain normal mealtimes ]
no subject
It's a skill of eldest brothers whatever the species, that expression, one that trancends whatever limitations would normaly make it impossible for an elk to look at a person like that.]
Sure you were, Kano, sure you were.
[He's mostly joking, though. Maglor had been a sweet child for the most part.]
That's one or two times more than most people do.
[He points out reasonably, nodding his great antlered head in a deliberately aggravating way.
They were. For neither of them, he thought, wished tto disappoint their foster son more than they'd already done in the past. It was just... hard to remember what counted for normal mealtimes most of the time.]
no subject
So good.
[ He says virtuously and grins back ]
I cannot help that Eru has decided that I get all the volume in the family.
[ Except for the parts that went to Celegorm and Caranthir.
Maglor has elected to attempt to copy the locals. He's not sure if this is wise, but if he sees a lot of people eating, he is assuming that it means its a mealtime ]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vX4Jh-44-Nk
Hmm. Well, you were the best bahaved out of all my brothers.
[He concedes.]
Perhaps. But would it have killed you not to take advantage of the fact so often? My poor delicate ears have yet to recover completely from the screeching.
[Or was that from the screeching whenever Celegorm and Caranthir decided to get into a brawl with one another?
A good enough strategy, Maedhros himself had decided. Though one that only worked if you were out and about to see people sitting down to dine.]
wheeze omg what is that monster lol
I would agree, but I feel that the comparison just makes us all out to be menaces.
[ which.... is TRUE but he's not going to ADMIT it ]
One has to work with what one is given. [ He says virtuosly and grins ] At least I didn't decide to practice outside your bedroom window the way I did with Tyelko!
[ Definitely the screeching!
Maglor likes being outside, so its just a matter of working out whether he's outside when people are? ]
I think it's a Brahma chicken. I thought it was a dude in a chicken suit the first time I saw it XD
Are we not?
[Is there any use denying it? Feels like it would just make them seem delusional if they did.]
Believe me when I say that I am ever so grateful that you did not. [Growing up like they did he cherished whatever moments of quiet he could get.] I'd have been even more grateful, however, had Tyelko not felt to storm into my room and demand I do something about your caterwauling whenever you practiced under his.
[He's going to count it as a joint effort by all involved.
Maedhros likes being outside as well. He's just not all that keen about being out and about when a lot of other people are.]
SAME no chicken should be that big lol
I refuse to answer that on grounds that you will use it for incriminating purposes!
[ Virtuously ] I would never do that to my favourite brother. [ Which Tyelko was... often not! Too close together in age, too dissimilar in likes ]
And if Tyelko would stop hiding or otherwise breaking my things, I would have less cause to retaliate!
[ They can hover on the edges of crowds? ]
They really shouldn't, chickens can be enough of a menace when they are small
Bold of you to think I'll not do the same with your refusal to awnser.
Of course. [He had completely different ways to be a menace to his favorite brother, after all. No reason to use the same tricks he used on Tyelko, who had a knack for bringing out the pettiest side of people.]
Retaliating only makes him feel like you aree up to playing his games. He finds it far more insulting if you refuse to engage. [Which was easier said than done when Tyelko could be so very infuriating.
They could. He just hopes they did not make people uncomfortable by lurking. Both of them could be rather... intense without truly meaning to.]
agreed. Velociraptors clearly did not go extint they just got domesticated
