Vampire = nasty shit, basically a corpse that died and then gets reanimated without a soul?

Not in the way a zombie is.

A zombie has no self-awareness so they basically go walking around all DURR because all they have is negative energy animating an empty husk.

A vampire, meanwhile, is not an empty husk, it's a corpse filled with A TERRIBLE CURSE. They can talk and think and stuff, and they remember stuff from their life, but since they technically don't have a soul everything they do eventually gets twisted into fucked up evil shit.

Oh also there are certain ways you can become a vampire yourself if you get killed by one. Not all the time, but it's a thing we know about.

Everyone almost died. My dad actually DID die and got turned into a vampire. But they killed the original vampire?
