shopping can be fun! especially if you have someone to go shopping with. what kind of stores do they have in Shinsaibashi?

Clothes, jewelry, essentials. Some weird ones that were advertising that they were one of a kind. Lot of restaurants and places to get food.

I'm new too, so I haven't seen much of it yet.

I haven't run the gamut of effects yet, but I get some sort of animal ears quite a lot.

Truthfully I'm not that used to being here myself, but I'm partial to what they call the 'gacha' games in Osaka. Some of the prizes are strange, but it's a fun pastime.

There's also areas of Kyoto that are quite pretty, if you're into sightseeing and relaxing.

is that kind of thing a common effect, do you think?

I'm into everything! what's your favorite place in Kyoto to sightsee and/or relax?

I think so, and I'm not looking forward to finding out if they have anything more extreme on the table. I don't know what I'd do if I had something like a beak to deal with.

Honestly anywhere in Kyoto is fine if you want to take in Japan's scenery, but byodoin temple in uji has a few nice ponds. And cherry blossoms when they're in season! Japan has really nice foliage.

Not that this is really Japan. Or I guess it's a Japan. The different loops and planes thing gets confusing.

ooooh, yeah... I guess it really would depend on what kind of animal you get features from.
rabbit legs would be cute. centipede legs, not so much.
and imagine if you got a snake body and then had NO legs! no legs is one thing if you have no torso, arms, or head to go along with it, but if you're going to have all those, then you're definitely going to want legs to match!

I'll definitely check out that temple!
and I know what you mean about it being confusing. I haven't spent a ton of time in Japan, but from what time I have spent there, this feels kind of...off, to me.

I'm trying to picture a person with rabbit legs and it's not happening. A snake person I can see a bit better.

I didn't go to Japan in the 1920s but I remember seeing pictures and books about it. It's like someone looked at them for a few minutes and then tried to draw them again by hand. But also they really liked science fiction.

I guess it's similar enough that it's not totally off-putting, it just doesn't make a lot of sense.

I'd try to draw you a picture but I'm a really bad artist, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to do the image in my head justice. just trust me that it would be super cute.

it really is very science fiction-y, and fantasy-y, too! I'm not really into that kind of stuff, but my sister used to stay up all night reading Jules Verne and Isaac Asimov stories. I'll have to ask her what she thinks about all this magitech stuff.
