So. Kizuna. I get asking 'is it normal for blah blah blah' is kind of a useless question right now, since it's new to everybody, but.

Has anybody else been having weirdly large numbers of daydreams about people they met here? I'm normally pretty good about not zoning out, but lately I can't keep my mind from wandering.

I'm already friends with one Dazai, so two would probably get confusing.

Oh, I could probably say the same thing about Dazai, but we're friends anyway!

I haven't heard anything good about that guy yet.

Probably because you've been talking to the mafia this whole time?

He's my coworker, so of course they aren't going to say anything nice about him when he's not on their side.

Well what do you think he's like?

Well, obviously he's annoying. It's pretty hard to tell what going on in his head half the time. If he's not pulling some stupid stunt while pretending to find new and creative ways to kill himself, he's flirting with every pretty woman who catches his eye. One of them even sent a bomb threat to the office after he jilted her!

But none of that really matters, because it's just the kind of guy he is. He's one of the best detectives we've got, second only to me. And he has a good heart, even if he's really lousy at showing it. Probably because he'd be afraid of bursting in flames if anyone ever said something really genuine to him.

I don't think he likes himself very much either, so you're on brand, at least.

I don't dislike him enough not to wish him luck with the suicide thing, at least. It took me a few tries to get it too.

[Dazai, most people would consider hoping someone kills themselves to be a sign of disliking them...]

Oh, he stopped actually trying way years before we met. It's practically just his brand, now.

But not the best thing for you two to have in common, I imagine.

I take it back. If he doesn't take that seriously then I hate him even more on principle.

I don't know, I have a feeling you'd change your tune if you met him.

Honestly, he's just not an easy guy to describe.

[That and even Ranpo can objectively acknowledge that he's very attractive, which seems to be this Dazai's weakness.]
