(Wangji is arranged gracefully on the floor, two fuzzy bunnies cradled in his lap. A small smile touches his lips as he pets their heads, chucking them gently under their chins. One bunny is pure white - except for one black foot - and the other is black.)

These children are mine. (He feeds them tiny slices of carrot.) Names? I am listening.

(A gentle sigh follows those stiff words.)

I will take them exploring.

Please. (He raises the bunnies and sets them into a basket.) Where?

Would you like them to see outside? Otherwise you are welcome where Xiao Xingchen and I live.

[ It takes a moment, but an address soon pops up. ]

(A small smile blooms at the thought of the babies enjoying the sunshine.)

You and I can take them to a garden together. I will come to your home first.

(He packs what the bunnies will need in another bag and shoulders it. The basket serves as a good transport and he murmurs to the bunnies as he makes the trip. Once at Zichen's door, he knocks politely.)

[ That smile alone is his answer, so Zichen only nods before ending the connection. He takes the time to brew them some tea to enjoy in whatever garden they end up in. It's ready by the time the knock comes, and he closes up the lid and sets the thermos and two travel cups in a small basket before moving to the door.

He lifts his hands to cup them formally. ]

It is good to see you, even if it is only here in this strange world between time.

(Wangji respects Zichen - and Xingchen too. They are the sort of Cultivator he longs to be. Being connected to the Lan isn't always easy and when he wants to do good, he dislikes needing permission.

Zichen's bow is returned and he steps back so the other man can walk beside him.)

The honor is mine. (He considers this strange new world and nods.) It isn't so bad.

[ The respect is mutual. Zichen steps out and softly closes the door behind him. Fuxue is at his back, as always, and he leads the way down and outside. ]

There are many good people. And...it's given many chances that were otherwise lost.

(Bichen is strapped to his back too. He feels the swords harmonizing as they walk side by side and he smiles faintly.)

I agree. I want to...try. (He shifts the basket so Zichen can see the little bunnies inside.)

[ The harmonizing makes him smile a little too. And having the basket shifted so he can see has him lean in a little to see them. ]

Hangung-jun...I have perhaps a strange question. When was the last time you saw me before today?

We met once. Briefly. (The Daozhangs are a respected pair - and not just by him.) I hope we cross paths again in the future.

[ He nods, gaze briefly dropping. ]

We do meet again. However...I will lack a tongue, and be a Fierce Corpse under Xue Yang's control. Thanks to Wei Wuxian and some juniors, I was able to break free of him. So when I came here, I met someone who was able to return my tongue, and Xingchen's eyes.

[ Zichen manages to reach out then and delicately stroke a finger over each bunny's soft ears. ]

Xingchen found a way to restore my life.

(Horror is hard to hide, but it is mixed with sorrow. Wangji wants to comfort this man and he has no idea how to start. So he tries to speak.)

Justice will be done. You needn't ever see Xue Yang again.

(Yue and Yang rub their faces against the fingers and bat them with their paws.)

[ He has all he needs. He has Xingchen and his love. ]

You cut his arm off, then give me the killing blow. Should he come here...we must keep him from Xingchen.

[ Those cute paws are gently caught and played with. ]

(He has the respect and friendship of Lan Wangji too.)

We will. (He can promise that easily.) You deserve the killing blow a second time.

(Yang hops up onto his back feet and tries to climb on Zichen's hand.)

[ He is a blessed man indeed!

Zichen can't resist the little smile and gently picks Yang up, holding him carefully against his chest. It's because of Xingchen...and Wen Kexing that he's able to accept touch. ]

Thank you. Xingchen does not need that blood on his hands.

(Yang is all tail wags and a wiggly nose! He is a bright happy baby who likes Zichen's scent. Wangji smiles softly and caresses little Yue's fuzzy head.)

Neither do you. (How much must good men suffer?)
