Who else was dead, or in the process of dying when they arrived here?

[Lucy's not going to share it with anyone, and yeah, most of the people here seem to be okay, but still--Her wariness of potential rats would never completely disappear.]

[What does it matter if people know the name to someone who has survived near-death? And it's not like he's back on his homeworld, where only centuries ago, worry would have been justified.]

No. I'm just more used to being secretive and trying to avoid detection. Even though I know now that none of my enemies appear to be here, those old habits aren't going to just go away overnight.

"Enemies". I understand. Or I think I do, if, perhaps, not in the same way as your reality.

No one would expect you to suddenly drop your guard overnight.

Do what you need to, to feel comfortable and safe. I think all of us here would understand that.

Yeah. To me, it's been baffling how many people here are sympathetic and willing to listen to me.
It's not unwelcome. It's just that most of the people I came in contact with in my world were the exact opposite.
I could count the number of people who actually gave a shit about me on one hand.
