I'm bored and cold and I can't sleep.


[It's a power outage!! And also a bit past midnight. Those still awake can reply, or head to one of the shared living areas to find Ranpo curled up and shivering by a window, lit up only by moonlight.]

[Genbu whines outloud...revealing himself to be a close distance from Ranpo's home.

He whines. In a deep voice. Too deep for the average native to have.]

Okay I'll just have dinner by myself and go back!!

[Sighing, Genbu takes out the firewood he brought to Yoshiwara and makes a small campfire. Soon, the air is fill with the smell of grilled fish.]

[How close is he?? Ranpo's sitting by a window. If he opens it up and pokes his head out, will Genbu spot him first? He sees a campfire, but...]

[Just a campfire. There seems to be sticks impaled into fish stuck into the ground, roasting on an open fire. No one is around...]

[Unfortunately, he's more or less stuck on the second floor, because it's too dark to go into the lower floors. But what does he do? He's less comfortable not knowing what the guy looks like or where he could be now. Gonna lean out the window some more to try to spot him.]

[Suddenly a shadow appears! It looks like the top half of a person...but there's strange growths sticking out the sides where the heads should be.

It appears to be stretching, followed by a deep-sounding yawn.]

[Good lord it's a demon.]

[He brought a demon to the dorms!!]


[Yeah, he's not coming out. And probably not getting any sleep at all now.]

[Almost as if there's some sort of force beyond one's comprehending, there is a chill. A sudden powerful breeze brings down the air by several degrees. Needless to say, it got cold.

Genbu visibly shudders, but he soon appears in front of the fire, revealing the entirety of him, height, tail, scales and all. He sits down next to the fire however, illuminating his face and a warm smile that rested upon it.

The fish was delicious. Would have been much more if he had Ranpo for dinner...

...for company. That's what he meant after all! ...Did Ranpo misunderstand? Sighing, after Genbu finishes his dinner, he packs up and puts the fire out, walking away afterwards. A shame, really, he may have been an interesting person to chat with!]

Ok Ranran! We can meet again another time! Just take care, okay? Wear layers...and if you wake up with a fever, let me know, okay?
