I have been taken from Hell before I had the chance to do it myself. It saved me time, for sure. [ it's not the first time Satan has broken a timeloop, he is certain he could have done it again ] But I have to wonder about God. Do you think He will be wrathful enough for an apocalypse when He realizes I have left? I certainly think He'd love to lay waste to this world. [ Satan smiles, soft and gentle, but with a certain... coldness behind it ]

Regardless, at least this place isn't covered in humans. It's a big plus. [ he isn't happy there are humans around and still sorta wants to kill them all. BUT. At least there are many non-humans around too ]

For those who have heard of me, I am Lucifer, the Morning Star, the Old Scratch, Belial, Devil, Leviathan, the Serpent, whatever humans came up with. It's tiring to keep up with all the names you've given me. I usually go by Satan.

Would He really lay waste to the world because you escaped? That seems pointless.

Oh, nothing is above Him. You believe Him to be kind, until the moment you do something He does not approve.

And I was meant to be in Hell, not wandering in another Earth, free from punishment.

One would think that He would simply find a better way to keep you put, instead of throwing a temper tantrum.

People already believe you wander the Earth, I don't see why He needs to make a big deal of it when it actually happens.

What people believe is very different from how it truly is. And temper tantrums are His specialty. [ ok let's face it, so are Satan's. But he learned from his Daddy ]

Perhaps He hasn't realized Earth is under a timeloop. God has not visited the planet in many years, after all.

Trust me, I know. [which part is she referring to? Probably both.

Very dryly] A god not visiting Earth? I'm shocked.

[ satan actually chuckles, the head wings spreading ] Such busy beings, aren't they? [ assuming there are more. Satan is ware "God" is a race, not really the ultimate thing every human makes Him out to be ]

The gods of my world - including your Father - tend to keep to themselves these days. There isn't much on Earth they have to do, when there's other beings capable of doing it themselves on their behalf.

Oh, certainly. And yet if things do not go their way... [ they come down and do their worst. ]

What about the gods in this world? Are they keeping to themselves as well?

[flatly] They've grown lazy.

I can't really speak of the ones here. One hasn't, but I don't know how many there are here in charge. The ones who are native to Nippon, I mean.

This place seems to be a bit of a mess, I'm surprised a God can't fix it. [ Satan is powerful, but he is fully aware how powerful a God can truly be. But perhaps not in this world. ]

Anyway, natives all seem to be excited about the progress they seem to be making. With or without help from a God.

I would think they would need the gods in charge of time, but who knows? It isn't my place to ask.

[she tilts her head, lips twitching into a faint, amused smile] Aren't they? They don't need beings like us interfering in their lives. They never have, really.

It's everyone's place to ask. Gods are not right, Gods do not have to rule over everything, Gods do not have to be worshiped and blindly followed. They are power-hungry children. [ he may be talking about his Father ]

In any case- [ moving on because Satan will just get mad at Gods since he is mad at God ] what do you call yourself?

[her smile widens into a grin] Aren't most creatures that way? Gods or no.

[she inclines her head politely] I'm known as Baku, the devourer of dreams.

Satan nods softly at her as a greeting ] I'm certain there are many dreams in this world for you to enjoy. People must be grateful too. [ or not because... you know, fearing what they don't know and all of that ]

[oh wow, Satan knows who she is. She's . . . some weird sort of honored]

I haven't gone hungry, at least.

[ he knows most non-human beings on Earth. Mostly because those originated from demons, in his world ]

There's no need. [she shifts to the camera is seated in front of her, so she can lean her chin on her hand] It's my purpose, and I'm glad to fulfill it with anyone who lets me. No matter who or what they are.

Though . . . [her lips twitch] It's a little funny, eating the dreams of someone I've eaten thousands of dreams about.

Thanks. [and then, genuinely curiously] Have you ever been able to leave Hell before? The stories about you in my world aren't very clear.

I was just about to leave when I was brought here. Hell is surprisingly easy to leave if that's what you desire. [ Satan never left before because he didn't want to. ]

That doesn't surprise me. Spirits escape the underworld all the time, so someone like you being able to just leave makes sense.
