Quick survey: do you know anyone from home here, or are you the only one who got brought from your world?

And is it weird to people from modern Japan to see Valentine's Day not being advertised in February? It was only really brought over after my death, but the last few years I've been around for it, you can't miss all the sales and promotions.

There's someone I know who's also here.

[and considering where she's from the holidays more or less reflect real-world holidays but with a furry twist.......]

Valentine's Day....is that a romantic holiday? Because I know I'm usually seeing advertisements for a holiday around the 14th. It's when girls give gifts to the guys they like, right?

[she would NEVER.]

Chocolate can be really dangerous for some animals, but yeah it's usually giving a guy you like something sweet.

That's right, the society I'm from is made up of many different species of animal as opposed to other places where it seems populated by one kind of animal.

Most animals are pretty good about what we can and can't eat, and a lot of shops cater to certain kinds of animals.

I've seen bakeries that make canine-friendly chocolate, for example. Not sure what it's made of, so don't ask me, but where I'm from we're really good about alternative food.

[especially when you consider meat is illegal]

I think so. Not to say everyone's diet is well accommodated for but...it's something everyone is trying to figure out and manage.

[again. the whole Meat Business...]

It seems easier in places where only one species seems intelligent enough to build a society. I know there are humans who see us rabbits as food or pets, right?

It's all right, I was just saying how things seem, not that I'm looking for anyone to reconsider rabbits as a whole just because they talk.

I know it's complicated. This place sells meat pretty freely, after all.
