It appears I have a question that I do not have an answer to.

If you and another have been referred to as family, but are not siblings due to that I made him. What does it make such a relationship?

It is an unusual thing for me to consider and... new. Though such is my own fault for not paying attention to him sooner, or not realizing his importance.

How long did it take you to realize his importance?

[Ordinarily, Pidge would point out that it's kind of terrible to take someone so important for granted... but she feels like this person has already come to realize that. There's probably no point in pouring salt in the wound.]

A short time prior to my arrival here, which had been a number of years in itself and already too long but I did not get to make contact again until we reunited here.

I have much to make up to him for. I know this much but I do not know how to go about doing so.

I feel like the best thing to do now is apologize and let him know that you're here for him now.

If you try to do much more than that too soon, it might seem like you're trying to change now in an attempt to make yourself feel less guilty about things you did before, rather than a genuine desire to fix your relationship.

Oh. I see. It's difficult to just do that much, but I also do not wish to rush and give him the wrong idea about my intentions.

Maybe try picturing how you'd feel if your roles were reversed.

That is not a bad idea, though he has a different temperament and I do wonder if he would make the effort to try and connect with me.
