Goooooooooooood morning Nippon!
I hope everyone is well!
I was thinking, there are so many of us time refugees now... Wouldn't it be nice for us to get to know each other?
SO, I had an idea!
Let's make a game out of it!
FUN, right?? I thought so!

SO, I had an idea!
Let's make a game out of it!
THE RULES:
• Introduce yourself (your name, where you're from, etc.)
• Give us two things about yourself that are true, and one that's a lie.
• Comment around trying to guess what's the truth and what's a lie.
FUN, right?? I thought so!

[ Yeah, don't think she didn't notice. ]
I'm just going to call you Ophiuchus until you correct me, is that okay? Or maybe Ophie!
Hm.... #2 is the only one that isn't completely sad so I'm going to hope that one's true. Is #1 the lie?

Allow me time to consider. For now you may refer to me as you wish.
[Apparently Ophie is just fine. Especially since she has shown signs she might nickname Elidibus if he gave that instead. At least let him ready his heart for that inevitability.]
#2 is true. And as far as I'm aware, #1 is true as well.
[I mean technically speaking it's true. It's all a matter of perspective.]
I know what my goals are when I return to my time, so that was the lie.
[He just isn't sure what the correct way to approach them are anymore. But that's neither here nor there.]

[ Sure, they've only just met and she still doesn't know Ophie's real name, but she is the kind of person who wants good things for everyone, even total strangers. ]
That's good at least, that you know what your goals are. I kind of wish I knew what mine would be.

I appreciate the sentiment. There is still hope as long as I continue toward my goal, that my people may one day return. I extend my regrets for your losses. I hope it was not as cruel as mine.
[It isn't a bad thing right, to offer condolences in kind?]
I have had the misfortune to have my fate laid before me by tragic circumstance. If you have the chance to find your purpose in life without tragedy forcing your hand, I pray you make use of it. It is a blessing.

[ The choice of the word "humans" seems to place Sunny in a separate category. ]
I know my purpose in life. It's just a purpose that seems to stretch on and on with not a lot of variety, you know? Taking a break from that, to be here, where I can do what I want, when I want...? It's kind of putting things in perspective a bit.

From your way of speaking, we may be in similar circumstances, for all the details may be different. If I may inquire further, are you also a bearer of immortality?
[She did put the context out there, but it doesn't mean he can't be polite about asking for more details. And along with it, confirms a bit of his own standing on the matter of lifespans.]
I've found myself dwelling on similar thoughts since my arrival. I know my duty ere I return to my Star. Yet I've had recent cause to consider that how it was conducted may have been in error. Whether that can be changed or if I should stay the course... and what I have lost. I welcome the opportunity to reflect on these matters.

[ See? She knew that this game would be a good idea! ]
As much as the spread of the time loops is dangerous and upsetting, I do think it's important to use the time we have been given to reflect on things, like you said.

I have never been accused of not taking time to reflect when given the opportunity.
[Save recently maybe. But then could one say he had the opportunity? Ah the things that can be debated til the end of time in hindsight.]
I'll not waste the opportunity I've been granted.
