Goooooooooooood morning Nippon!
I hope everyone is well!
I was thinking, there are so many of us time refugees now... Wouldn't it be nice for us to get to know each other?
SO, I had an idea!
Let's make a game out of it!
FUN, right?? I thought so!

SO, I had an idea!
Let's make a game out of it!
THE RULES:
• Introduce yourself (your name, where you're from, etc.)
• Give us two things about yourself that are true, and one that's a lie.
• Comment around trying to guess what's the truth and what's a lie.
FUN, right?? I thought so!

I see. It is clever to have used a name bearing the meaning of "sunshine" in the native tongue.
[Text is certainly hard to tell emotions from and there's definitely no emoticons here. But he does appear to not be bothered and certainly acknowledges the use of the medium to muddy the nature of the statements.]
This serves as an excellent exercise in how knowledge is key to making the correct choice. As well as your original intention of course. I commend you.
[Okay so he seems a bit stuffy in 'speech' but at least he's sincere?]
I am Elidibus. It is not my true name, but the title I assumed when I accepted an important seat of office to represent my people.
[It's clear he has no intention of prying after Sunny's real name.]

[ And he may have been worried that she would apply a nickname to 'Elidibus,' but once someone tells Sunny what they want to be called, she will respect that. ]
It's nice to meet you, Elidibus. And, we have another thing in common! Sunny isn't my true name either. It's more of a nickname than a title, but it comes from the position I assumed for my people as well!

[Elidibus knows many things. Internet Culture is not one of them. Yet.]
I will call you Sunny if you prefer. Yet may I ask what the name of your position is and its duties?

[ Sunny may be thousands of years old, but she has observed humanity closely, and has thus picked up on all the modern slang. ]
It's what I prefer these days, yes. And the name of my position I guess would just be "goddess." Specifically, goddess of the sun, sunlight, daytime, morning... any of those. It is my duty to watch over humanity every day to make sure they don't do anything to destroy themselves. And my sister is the goddess of the moon, moonlight, nighttime, dusk, and she watches over humanity at night!
[ Sunny is sure Shade wouldn't be too happy about Sunny throwing out all this personal info on the public network, but... Oh well. There it is. Sunny figures if Elidibus is also an immortal being like them, there can't be that much harm in it! ]

[Honestly he's interested even if text can't convey the curiosity. Since it's clearly implied there's more of these abbreviations, he'll no doubt be looking for them.]
To the mortals of my Star, my kind have been likened to gods. Though this was how we were born, not a calling we rose to.
I would be curious to meet someone of another world who has ascended to a higher existence. It is not unheard of where I'm from. Yet it oft times takes the intervention of a greater power to achieve. I would like to know more about your tale, as much as you would be willing to share.
[You know with a pure stranger. Over the internet.]

I don't mind telling you more, if you would do me the favor of doing the same? I'd love to hear more about you and your people.
Maybe we can meet in person to chat?
[ Probably better to show at least a LITTLE discretion... ]

I would enjoy an opportunity to talk about my people. It seems I arrived at a poor time for travel and I am in the Kyoto region. If you aren't here, the perhaps once the festivals are over, we may meet.

Once travel resumes or I've recovered my strength from my journey to this world, I will contact you again that we may arrange a time and place to meet.

'LOL' is something I believe would be used here.
[On his end, it was a faint chuckle maybe. But look he's willing to learn this network lingo.]
Fortunately my recovery is a matter of time. And even weakened, I'm still capable. Distant travel through rifts on an unfamiliar world is beyond me for now, however.

I'm glad you were rescued, and that you're on the path to recovering your full strength. If there's anything I can do to help from afar, please let me know!

Thank you for your offer. While help in my recovery may be beyond the scope of it, if there are questions I have about this place and its culture, I would appreciate being able to message you with queries.

I'd be happy to answer what questions I can. Nippon is a little different than the equivalent country in my universe, but there are enough similarities, my knowledge might still apply.
