[Just like that. In a blink. How can anyone? He closes his eyes, expression pained.]

[His head aches and he rubs at his temple.]

[Oops! He's been caught!]

Shall I plead for mercy now or later?

[dragonrising]

Mercy? Should I be punishing you for this then?

[gentledawn]

I don't know! This is new to me. I've never transformed anyone into an imp before.

[dragonrising]

Never? And yet you know for sure that you have done just that!

[gentledawn]

I know an imp when I see one! [And there is only one punishment for an imp.] I must kiss your nose.

[dragonrising]

Must you? Well that means you will have to come find me. And what if I hide to make it a challenge?

[gentledawn]

I will find you, Lord Dragon. [He then looks at Runyu appealingly.] Will you really hide yourself from me?

[dragonrising]

Perhaps. But not in the way you might think. And only so I can see the sweet look of surprise when you realize what I have done.

[gentledawn]

You're going to be creative! [Well that's exciting!] I'm on my way.

[dragonrising]

I haven't shown you all my tricks yet. [He laughs softly then ends the call. After all, he has to make sure Xingchen doesn't see this trick.]

[gentledawn]

[Giggling, he makes his way quietly to Runyu's rooms first. He knocks - but doesn't expect an answer - so he uses some sneaky cultivation to let himself in.]

[dragonrising]

[What he doesn't know is that Runyu is directly behind him. And invisible. The dragon smiles as he quietly follows after him, keeping close but not alerting Xingchen just yet.

At least until the man goes to look around a corner and he leans forward to gently blow into his ear.]

[gentledawn]

[He truly has no idea whatsoever, so as he inspects the seemingly empty rooms, he looks puzzled. Then he feels wind...a breath?!...against his ear and he jumps.]

A-Yu? Is that you? [Or is it a ghost? A mischievous imp-like ghost at that! He turns in the direction of the breath, curious and hopeful.]

[dragonrising]

[There's a laugh that can be heard which is most certainly Runyu's.]

Perhaps. [He lets the veil drop to reveal he's indeed standing there.]

Did you enjoy my trick?

[gentledawn]

[Perhaps? And Xingchen is doomed to jump again, his eyes wide when his friend appears in front of him. He covers his mouth to hide his shock - there really is no point - before he narrows his eyes accusingly.]

Just like an imp! Now you must endure your punishment. [Runyu's nose is indeed kissed! Endure the horror. The agony!]

[dragonrising]

[Runyu laughs softly and wraps his arms around Xingchen to give him a properly kiss after the punishment.]

You were so surprised. I was right that your expression would be cute.

[gentledawn]

[His lips tingle and he beams, his arms slipping around Runyu to keep him close.]

I didn't know you could do that. I suppose it makes sense for a deity. When you want to move unseen, that is.

[dragonrising]

I haven't needed to use it here. But I liked that I could to surprise you. There's other things I haven't shown you yet, of course. This was just one of them.

[And, because he can, he kisses Xingchen's nose.]

[gentledawn]

[Color blooms across his cheeks and over his ears. He bows his head bashfully, snuggling close.]

You can show me whatever you like. Even if you use your power to tease me.

[dragonrising]

I do like to tease you.

[He lets his fingers travel over those pretty cheeks.]

These turn so pink when I do.

[gentledawn]

[He tries so very hard to pout, but seeing Runyu happy and at ease makes him giddy.]

Maybe I'll learn how to tease you? Am I allowed justice?

[dragonrising]

You are welcome to tease me. I am curious to see what you will do.

[It will be cute whether it succeeds or fails. Of that he's certain.]

[gentledawn]

I'm not very good at teasing. [But he can work on it! If nothing else, they can get a laugh out of it.] I'm told my jokes are awful.

I'm not known for my humor either. I won't judge you harshly.
