[His head aches and he rubs at his temple.]

[He tries so very hard to pout, but seeing Runyu happy and at ease makes him giddy.]

Maybe I'll learn how to tease you? Am I allowed justice?

You are welcome to tease me. I am curious to see what you will do.

[It will be cute whether it succeeds or fails. Of that he's certain.]

[gentledawn]

I'm not very good at teasing. [But he can work on it! If nothing else, they can get a laugh out of it.] I'm told my jokes are awful.

[dragonrising]

I'm not known for my humor either. I won't judge you harshly.

[gentledawn]

[Runyu is given more kisses for that - on his lips. Three in a row! Then Xingchen gives him a bright smile.]

The laughter I earn is mostly at my own expense. But I don't mind.

[dragonrising]

I think I will find you sweet for even trying.

[Don't mind him stealing one of those kisses back.]

I will be very charmed.

[gentledawn]

I like seeing your smile. [The last kiss is a little longer and Xingchen sighs when they part. Then he murmurs a very silly joke:]

A doctor recently moved house into a new neighborhood. To ingratiate himself with his new neighbors, he gave each of them packages filled with medicine as a gift, saying: “Sorry for disturbing you all; I have nothing else to give, so please accept this medicine.” The neighbors all tried to decline, saying they were not ill. “But you will be after taking my medicine,” said the doctor.

[Runyu tilts his head as he listens to the joke. It seems a simple little story. Until he reaches the punchline. Unable to help himself, he bursts out with a little laugh.]

Who tells you that you cannot tell jokes? That was clever.

[gentledawn]

[Xingchen bows his head and chuckles to himself, resting a hand on Runyu's chest.]

Clever? Or silly? I like the silly ones, I admit.

[dragonrising]

I don't see why it can't be both. I found it amusing so I would say you succeeded in telling it.

[gentledawn]

I made a dragon laugh. I will consider that a high honor! [He looks giddy as that fact occurs to him.]

[dragonrising]

You make a dragon smile, laugh, fall in love with you... You have so much power over this dragon.

[gentledawn]

...yet I am only a simple rabbit. [He manages to look innocent, too! How shameful.]

[dragonrising]

Only a simple rabbit? If you are so simple then how could you accomplish so much? Think of that.

[gentledawn]

Perhaps I am an ambitious rabbit? [He gives a gentle tug to Runyu's sleeve.] I like this dragon's attention.

[dragonrising]

[He tugs him in closer so he can kiss his temple.] This dragon likes giving you attention so that works out well.

[gentledawn]

If you give me too much, I'll sprout ears and a tail! [Not that he minds. The soft fur can be rather...fetching.]
