This month, I will be turning twenty. [It feels like a momentous age; a shift into something new. But he has no idea how to celebrate the occasion and thus he brings his questions to the network:]

How would you celebrate a birthday? We didn't make much of a fuss about them with my Master, yet this world is different. I want to try making the day special.

Just know that I am not fond of overindulging in alcohol. Sweet wines are my favorite if I need to choose, but I have my fill of them quickly.

[He hugs him around the waist, shifting to rest his cheek against Zichen's shoulder.]

What if I wish to be with you? If I know my Zichen wants me, I will hop behind him.

You are. [ But he can't resist the soft chuckle at the image of Xingchen hopping behind him. ]

What if I want you...hopping...beside me instead?

[He would be a very determined bunny, following his wolf through thick and thin.]

I like that. [Xingchen kisses Zichen then, deepening the contact to let his soulmate know how much he loves him.] Mmm I will hop beside my Zichen and keep him company through all of his...and our...endeavors.

[ Zichen melts into the kiss, letting it deepen without reservation. Lets it show his own love for his Xingchen, shining bright and clear. He presses their foreheads together after it breaks and lets their noses nudge together. ]

Yes. Through our endeavors. I want to go through life at your side.

[He hugs Zichen close, losing himself in the meeting of their lips and tongues. Xingchen knows they have spent both evenings and mornings like this, loving one another through kisses. He pants slightly when they part and he beams.]

I love our students. [Each one is eager to learn and Xingchen adores watching Zichen teach. He teaches too, of course, but when it comes to self-defense, no one is better than his Zichen.]

[ And they will spend many more like this, too. Zichen has learned to enjoy the slide of flesh against flesh, and lips and tongues rubbing together. Of bodies pressing together for pleasure, not pain. It leaves him just as breathless when the kiss breaks. ]

They love you too.

[ They make a good team, teaching their students. Encouraging them to learn and to grow stronger. ]

[He wants to spend the rest of his life watching Zichen, listening to his beloved's voice and loving him physically and emotionally. If one day they achieve immortality, so be it, but Xingchen will consider his life well-spent if he simply grows old at his soulmate's side.]

They are good children. [Even the difficult ones are reached and he has seen more than one soften under their care.] Zichen, you are a fine teacher. I listen to as many of your classes as I can catch!

[ Zichen would be just as content with that life. However long they have, as long as it's together he'll be happy.

He strokes a loving hand over his soulmate's back. ]

They work hard to learn. We are both doing good work here.

[Let their love be their legacy. Xingchen fully believes the world is better for it. They just need to be cautious about anyone manipulating them.

He nuzzles their faces together, his ears flopping over Zichen's head.]

I think so too. We are bringing knowledge and hope to many.

[ A good, pure legacy. Better than that of war or strife. Zichen hopes they have both grown from the horrible experiences of letting others part them - but trusts they are stronger together.

The adorable ears flopping over him makes him chuckle and he kisses them before nuzzling right back. Xingchen inspires him to be silly. ]

They keep coming back. Our dream is coming true, Xingchen.

[He is learning that the quieter things in life are the true victories. The good he wants to bring into the world will move slowly, from person to person, but it will last.

The chuckle is music to his ears and he hums happily under the kisses.]

I knew it would. You're so determined; you remind me never to falter, never to give up.

[ Speed isn't necessary. Not as long as the good lingers and is encouraged to grow and strengthen. ]

You are just as inspiring to me. You have helped me to open my heart to others.

[ Something that is difficult for him. But he's managing it better. Kexing helps. Runyu helps. But Xingchen above them all. ]

Your heart is your best quality. [He lays a hand over Zichen's chest.] I promise if you let others see it - see you - they will love you. Of course...

[He trails off dramatically, eyes sparkling.]

Not as much as I love you, but that bar is too high for any to reach.

[ His cheeks pink at that claim and he covers his love's hand over his chest. ] It beats for you.

[ He can't help the smirk and kisses the tip of his soulmate's nose. ]

No one comes close to where you are in my heart.

[His cheeks flush, pleased at both answers. Oh he isn't worthy and he knows it! But to have such a lovely heart is...his everything.]

Mine beats for you. [He nuzzles their lips together.] If your life ends, so does mine.

[ He threads their fingers together where they rest against his heart, then presses into that nuzzle to claim a soft, lingering kiss. ]

No. I will always return to you. You gave me my life back, Xingchen. We were able to get my tongue and your eyes back. So we will always be together now. No matter what we face, we can get through it together.

[He part his lips and gently tastes his lover, threading his fingers into Zichen's hair.]

Always? [Xingchen blinks and then nods, accepting that as the truth.] I will wait for you. I will find a way to help you no matter what. You will be safe with me.

[ A soft sigh of contentment escapes and he welcomes the deeper kiss and how those fingers slip so naturally through his hair. ]

Always. [ Nothing else matters but staying with Xingchen. He tightens his embrace around his beloved. ]

I can't be hurt again. You have my heart and soul, Xingchen. I know nothing can hurt me now.

[That spill of black hair is gorgeous and Xingchen caresses the strands while their tongues play. When they part, it's clear he believes his beloved and he smiles.]

I won't let you be hurt. I'll cradle you close so even the wind can't chafe you.

[ Just as Zichen strokes over the white strands that are mingling with his beloved's stunning black. He smiles seeing that belief and nuzzles their noses together. ]

No wind can hurt me. You are my Bright Moon and Gentle Breeze.

[He blushes when he notices the attention, his ears perking hopefully.]

It might all turn white. Would you still be attracted to me?

[Xingchen wraps Zichen up in his arms and nuzzles over his face.]

You only must endure kisses.

[ He strokes over those perked ears, giving them just as much love and attention as he'd paid that lovely hair. ]

You are beautiful in any form.

[ His breath huffs out in almost a chuckle and he leans into those nuzzles, pressing against his beloved's embrace. ]

As long as they are your kisses.

[The ears relax and Zishu might feel Xingchen's puffy tail wagging.]

I will be a Winter rabbit. [His nuzzles soon turn into kisses and he peppers Zichen's face and neck with them.]

I can promise they will be! I won't let someone steal my kisses.

[ He smiles, relaxing under those kisses and hums. ]

Perfect.

[ Zichen strokes over that cute little tail, too! ]

I believe you, my Xingchen.

[His cheeks heat and he bites his lip, smiling shyly.]
