Does anyone know how to aid one to sleep. I don't feel well and every time I try to sleep... I keep having...
It doesn't matter. Does anyone know how to make me sleep?
[ He's feverish and sleep-deprived and okay maybe a little freaked out and panicky but he'd never admit that. ]

Jin Ling tiredly opens the door when the other knocks, Fairy at his heels. He's feverish and doesn't feel quite steady on his feet but he does his best to hide that. ]
Welcome.
[ Jin Ling greets him, bowing politely. ]
no subject
Thank you. I brought a few other things to try as well.
[ Which now he's glad for. He gestures inside. ]
May I?
[ The dog is clearly a protector, he's not foolish enough to lightly chance intruding. ]

I can set out some tea...
[ It's polite to offer after all. ]
no subject
If you want some, yes. Some of the medicines I brought go down better with tea.
[ This boy can't be much older than Chengling. All his protective instincts are raised. ]
Would you allow me to examine you? I have cared for many juniors through illnesses.

Jin Ling doesn't particularly want tea but if it would help the medicines. He nods in acknowledgment and leads Zishu to a room that is clearly meant for hosting guests for tea. He hesitates at the question. He supposes he's already allowed the other to bring stuff to his home and in his home... ]
Alright. I suppose.

Zishu follows to the hosting room and moves to set the basket on the table. He can hear that hesitation and can guess at the reason. He's a stranger. ]
I just want to check your internal energy. I can tell you have a fever. Not sleeping could be part of it, but not necessarily the whole cause. If you would prefer seeing if a deep sleep will fix it all, without me checking your energy, I will simply leave these with you.

Jin Ling starts to get water for the tea started heating as he listens to the other. He doesn't know how his uncle or his mother would feel about it but then again since when did he need their permission to do something anyway! And... well, he feels terrible. ]
Okay. You can do it but if you do anything funny my uncle will find you and break your legs and then kill you.

When he's mostly composed, he turns and bows once again. ]
Aah? Then I should introduce myself so your uncle knows who to hunt down if I do anything of the sort. I am Zhou Zishu. I can be found at the Four Seasons Manor.
When you're ready, please, have a seat and we will begin.

"His name is Jiang Cheng, Sect Leader of Yunmeng Jiang." Yes, he's proud of his uncle. "Don't worry, he'll find you."
Jin Ling says and he moves to sit down, tense and and moody as he has been.
no subject
"You and he are welcome to visit any time. I offer training in hand to hand, blade, and herbal lore. I think you might like my disciple, you remind me of him." Spoiled. Stubborn. Bristling at the slightest hint at insult.
Well.
Chengling ended up not being as much of a spoiled brat as he'd first thought.
He takes a seat beside Jin Ling and reaches for a wrist, gently tugging the sleeve up before pressing two fingers to the pulse point.
no subject
"Mm," Jin Ling huffs a little. "Could you offer me anything I don't know about hand to hand and blade combat?" Jin Ling asks haughtily (even though he should and does know better). His arrogance is hard to stifle and his pride is already a bit needled with being ill and lack of sleep.
He glances down as the other's fingers press to the pulse point. He scowls a bit and looks away. Moody teenagers.
no subject
"You can always learn something new. Even masters can be surprised and learn something."
Zishu studies the energies he can feel through Jin Ling's pulse, considering for a moment. Then pulls back.
"My primary concern is your lack of sleep. The incense I brought will keep you asleep until it burns out, or is snuffed out, so I suggest you don't light it until you have arranged for someone to wake you."
no subject
"I guess that's true... A lot of old people I know are kind of stupid about some things."
Jin Ling chews on the inside of his cheek as he waits for the other's conclusion.
"It will really work? No matter what?"
no subject
Zishu finally laughs, grinning at that. "You're right." He wishes this boy could meet Ye Baiyi. That would be a delight to watch.
He sobers at the questions, understanding just how desperate Jin Ling is to sleep. And he knows it in his bones. He nods. "If it doesn't, there is something more going on and I would suggest you speak with Wen Kexing, Xiao Xingchen, or Wu Xi. Those three can heal pretty much anything." He should know.
no subject
A very childish adult at times. He would definitely offend and mock Ye Baiyi if he ever came across him, honestly...
"Mm," Jin Ling nods, perhaps this is strong enough to counteract the anxieties caused by the curse that are keeping him awake. "Thank you."
