I had cat ears and a tail for a little while. Apparently, we became half-Yokai when they bonded us to Nippon, so those are the "parts" we're getting.
I don't know if this is how it always works, but mine went away when the person whose bond caused them went home. So maybe breaking your bond with them would do the same thing? There's a way you can do it without it needing to hurt.
Well, you know how when you talk to someone or get to know them, since us refugees are special, it creates a Kizuna bond between us, right? Those bonds are what cause things like growing a tail or sparkling when you're happy. They're side effects.
But sometimes, if you get really angry or upset at someone, it makes the bond break. It sorta feels like... a rubber band snapping against your heart. The same thing happens when someone leaves Nippon suddenly.
But aside from hurting a lot, it doesn't really do anything. And you can remake it right away when you make up.
[As much as he wishes he didn't have so much experience with broken bonds, at least he has knowledge worth sharing.]
[ There's... really only one person Lennon has any sort of connection to and the idea of breaking anything between them makes his stomach turn a bit. ]

What do they look like? Do you know how they got on you?

I don't really know how they got on me but I can't get them off.

Do you feel any impulses to act like the critter whose ears and tail you're being forced to borrow?
Maybe it's someone's idea of a prank.

I think... I'm going to be stuck with these.

They're not so bad once you get used to them, at least? But that might depend on what kind of Yokai features you ended up with.
