[It's come to his attention that this is needed. Rude never thought it would have to come to this. But here he was. Before the people. Asking for something he had never imagined he would ever need to ask for.]
Gags. Muzzles. Things like this. Where would I get one? Or several.
Asking for a friend.

[Rude had looked up at the dick on the roof.
He'd come to a full stop just below Reno.]
You came. Why? You should have run while you had the chance.
[Rude was strong. But he was not strong enough to fight Sephiroth.]
no subject
[It was as simple as that. He wasn't stupid. Not as stupid as some people might think, anyway. He was good at his job and he knew it was trouble. But if Rude told him to directly go somewhere, he'd do it, to some extent at least.
He pulled his legs up and stood on the edge.]
Well, I better get going.
[With that, he went to go make a jump to the next rooftop so he could run across and go disappear down the back alleys.]
no subject
Come down. I'll try to keep him busy.
[He didn't know if he could. But suddenly it seemed very important to try and protect Reno. And he really didn't want to see him running away from him.]
no subject
By all accounts he should have run to the back. Hell, he shouldn't have come at all, he knew that. It was his opportunity to escape when no one would know where he'd gone.
But instead he hopped down from the front of the building, to say his momentary farewell to Rude. Or maybe...]
Want to check out Kyoto?

Sephiroth waited while they chatted because he was only here to cast a spell, not kill the other man, and suddenly appeared right behind Reno from his position hidden in an alley when it seemed like they were finished. He was so close to the other man that their clothes were touching. ]
There you are.
[ With a flick of his wrist Sephiroth cast Stop on Rude to keep him out of the action. It was more a mercy than anything else because he knew full well the conflict that could arise between competing loyalties. ]
no subject
But he didn't.
Useless as it might of been he knew darn well who his target was and Reno was used to relying on his speed. He darted off down the nearest alleyway in the desperate bid to get out of sight long enough to disappear somewhere.]

A place like an underground train station. He promptly sped down and kept moving, scanning the information on the boards as he went.
Then, he waited until the absolute last minute and bought a ticket for the one leaving soonest, hopping on it only to plan to switch trains again soon enough. He wasn't going to be able to run the whole way - he needed to swap around until they were separated and he could get a head start over in Kyoto.]

He didn't waste time when the train finally did pull to its stop. He didn't have a destination - it was better not to pick a specific spot people might check. He just went with the crowd and went straight for the stairs. It was time to go explore the seedy underworld of this new city.]
no subject
If Reno turned he wouldn't find Sephiroth anywhere, though when he turned back he would be at the top of the stairs too. ]
Interesting how far you'll go to avoid the consequences of your actions.
[ Then like nothing at all had happened, Sephiroth fell into step by Reno. After an extended diversion like that he was a little hungry and he would need to take the train home and pay Rude a visit to relieve him. ]
no subject
So, he started to argue, but still nothing came out. With a frustrated shake of his head and some aggressive hand gestures, he hoped he would get his point across.]
no subject
Are you hungry?
[ He could always go alone, but why? ]
no subject
So, with a roll of his eyes, he continued up the stairs.]

[days later]
He found the nearest bar in Kyoto and he started getting drinks on Rude's account. Sooner or later, Rude was going to notice his money being depleted.
And there he stayed. He ate what crappy food they had available at the bar, drank, and fell asleep lying over the counter. Sometime during all that he'd grown a pair of fox ears, but he was too drunk to notice.]
no subject
It was late into the evening of the third day when Rude finally stepped into the bar. A quick look around was all he needed to find Reno. He sighed inwardly. Leisurely he made his way across and eased up onto the stool beside his partner. After getting the bartenders attention, he informed him not to serve Reno anymore and to get himself a beer.]
You ready to come home?
no subject
Rather than lifting himself up into a sitting position, he turned his head like he was flipping a lump and looked up at him from where he was with a very innocent smile. He knew Rude would come eventually.
Unfortunately, it had been after a few days of him using booze as a primary food source. Whatever sound he should have been able to make didn't come out, and instead he just stuck his tongue out at him.]
no subject
Without hesitation he reached out a gloved hand and poked the tongue back in.]
Acting like a kid is what got you into this.
[And yet why the hell was he smiling? It wasn't a huge smile, but there was relief in it. Rude was glad to see Reno.]
no subject
He was ready to go home. More accurately, he was ready to be slung over his shoulder and have his ass dragged back, spoiled brat that he was.]
no subject
Except Rude had noticed something different about his partner. It had been hard to tell him him laying on the bar and with the colour of his hair, but once the ears moved...
He shifted around, turning on his stool and reached out with one arm to hook it around Reno and pulled him closer. His free hand reached to curiously touch the strange ears on the top of his head. With his gloves on it was hard to tell if they were real or soft. They looked soft.]
What are these?
no subject
Instead of getting picked up, though, he found Rude checking out his hair.
His laugh was silent in response, as was the answer he gave, but it didn't seem like he realized anything different was there by the way he brushed it off. Maybe more than a little too drunk.
But, he was happy to plunk his head against Rude's chest.]
no subject
And not draped all over him.
Rude shifted and leaned down just enough to scoop up his partners legs. He could have just slung him over his shoulder he supposed. But with the way Reno was near cuddled into him, how could be possibly do that? At least holding him this way he could keep Renos head on his shoulder.
With a nod to the bartender, Rude turned and walked out of the bar.]
I'll find someone to fix you.
no subject
Fine by him. With a deep breath he settled against Rude, arms wrapped around him, relieved that he was here and ready to leave himself in Rude's hands. Literally. They had a long train ride ahead of them, but already he was dreaming of a hot bath and their spot on the couch or floor, where he could pass out and rest this off.
He rested his head on Rude's shoulder, looking like he was ready to go to sleep right then and there.]
no subject
He was silent as he walked. Pace steady, fast but not rushed. He wanted to get to the station in time for the next train, he didn't want to be waiting around too long. Getting Reno home was Priority One. And with how the other was laying against him, he knew that was what he needed too.]
... We'll get that spell off you once we get back.
no subject
But he followed it with a thumbs up. He 100% trusted his partner. And, for the time being, he'd just go right to bed on Rude. The trip back would be a lot shorter for him than the trip out.]
