[It was hard not to react to that. The hairs on the back of his neck shot up and he went into full alarm mode. This was exactly why he should have run earlier.

But he didn't.

Useless as it might of been he knew darn well who his target was and Reno was used to relying on his speed. He darted off down the nearest alleyway in the desperate bid to get out of sight long enough to disappear somewhere.]

[ Sephiroth didn't mind indulging Reno and playing cat and mouse for a little while. Things like this could be fun and as when sparring with others, he knew just how to extend his pleasure here too. That was why he "caught up" to Reno at times and then at others appeared to "lose" him. Sephiroth would keep this going for as long as Reno liked or until Sephiroth got bored, whichever came first. ]

[He had somewhat of an escape plan formed already. He knew he wasn't simply going to outrun him. No, he needed to go through places, particularly long places with many exits.

A place like an underground train station. He promptly sped down and kept moving, scanning the information on the boards as he went.

Then, he waited until the absolute last minute and bought a ticket for the one leaving soonest, hopping on it only to plan to switch trains again soon enough. He wasn't going to be able to run the whole way - he needed to swap around until they were separated and he could get a head start over in Kyoto.]

[ Sephiroth let Reno have the illusion of privacy and the hope that he could escape. He'd been accused of toying with his opponents in the past and this was really no different, but when one was the absolute best in nearly every single way one had to do something to draw things out otherwise they would be over far too soon. Therefore, Sephiroth kept to the roof of the train and left Reno to his delusions. ]

[It was a long ride to Kyoto and Reno would need to conserve energy, so he walked himself to the back of the train to get some privacy and rest up during the ride. Maybe grab something to eat while he had a chance.

He didn't waste time when the train finally did pull to its stop. He didn't have a destination - it was better not to pick a specific spot people might check. He just went with the crowd and went straight for the stairs. It was time to go explore the seedy underworld of this new city.]

[ Sephiroth didn't bother with things like blending in or crowds. He simply followed using his abilities. Although now that they were actually in a new city he thought it was probably time to end this, so when Reno got to the top of the stairs he simply cast the spell on him.

If Reno turned he wouldn't find Sephiroth anywhere, though when he turned back he would be at the top of the stairs too. ]

Interesting how far you'll go to avoid the consequences of your actions.

[ Then like nothing at all had happened, Sephiroth fell into step by Reno. After an extended diversion like that he was a little hungry and he would need to take the train home and pay Rude a visit to relieve him. ]

[Reno swiveled toward Sephiroth to respond to him, but nothing came out, and it was clear enough what had happened.

So, he started to argue, but still nothing came out. With a frustrated shake of his head and some aggressive hand gestures, he hoped he would get his point across.]

[ If Sephiroth minded all of that, it sure didn't show. Instead, he looked rather satisfied, like a cat that had just been exercised. ]

Are you hungry?

[ He could always go alone, but why? ]

[Reno hung his head in defeat. He had a lot of stuff he wanted to yell but he couldn't. And right now, he'd like to order something, but it'd be a bit annoying on his own. Maybe after they ate Sephiroth would knock this off.

So, with a roll of his eyes, he continued up the stairs.]

[ Sephiroth walked with Reno out onto the bustling street and, not wanting to spend very much time on this errand, chose one of the first places he saw. It looked like some kind of noodle shop.

He walked inside and took a seat at a booth in the back after being greeted by the proprietor. ]

[He walked along, took the seat opposite him, and mouthed "You're paying" at him.

He couldn't really tell the waitress what he was ordering, so he ended up just pointing at one of the items on the menu and at the drink menu, a bit too irritated to worry about whether the waitress thought this was kind of odd or not.

Then he crossed his arms, leaned back against the booth seat, and glared at Sephiroth.]

[ Sephiroth tried to place when he had last seen Reno this quiet or this irritated and found he could not. For his part, he was nothing but amused and somewhat poor at hiding it. For him. It showed in the casual way he draped himself in the seat and his unusually relaxed reaction to ordering (curry ramen). And finally the general audacity of his statements. ]

This is nice. I almost prefer you this way.

[If the slew of silent curses didn't get his point across, maybe getting flipped off would. Reno had a big mouth - he didn't like being silenced. He had way too much shit to say.

And, just to show that what he did didn't even address the fucking 'problem' they had, he took his device, unzipped his pants under the table, and sent Sephiroth his own personal dick pic to treasure for the rest of his life.]

[ Sephiroth got the notification and looked at the picture. His gaze moved from it to Reno and back and as it did so a rare thing happened, the corner of his mouth curled up into a smirk. It wasn't that he hadn't seen Reno's dick before. The man had undressed in front of him not that long ago, after all. It was simply that this particular photograph made it look so small.

And he was already amused and relaxed from their earlier activities. ]

Is that the best you could do?

[ It was understandable if Reno thought he was commenting on the item in question though. ]

[Oh, he could do better. He could do much better. He stood up and walked outside, and it would be a little while later that Sephiroth would receive another picture.

This one? Natural lighting, nice upward angle, dynamic angle, great focus - at least as far as these things could manage, and a deep background color that made it stand out more. See? He's been learning about his business. Who cares that he literally walked outside to take a dick picture?

He comes back in, sits back down at the table, places his device down in front of himself in victory because he's damn proud of that shot, and slides his bowl of noodles in front of himself to eat.]

[ It wasn't that Sephiroth minded the content of the message. Far from it. He couldn't care less about such banal things as this. However, it was very clear that he needed to take further initiative in this case in order to complete his mission. Sephiroth wasn't the SOLDIER for no reason. He didn't just follow orders. He did that, yes, but he also ensured the completion of the entire objective. Despite submitting to authority, he was an intelligent man.

So he let Reno eat his noodles in peace for a little while, let him have that sense of accomplishment to put him at ease. Then he very simply reached over and confiscated his device. He had the faster reflexes, after all. ]

I see you still haven't learned your lesson.

[He sputtered out some noodles when Sephiroth grabbed his device, obviously trying to yell something when he reached across the table to take it back.

He needed that, for lots of things!]

[ Sephiroth showed him no mercy. He tucked Reno's device into his jacket along with his own and resumed eating for a full minute before saying anything else. When he did it was to discuss, of all things, the photograph he had just been sent--though Reno could be forgiven if he didn't make the connection. ]

Hm. I'm sure your business will be a success.

[He needed that back!

He was caught in quite the conundrum. Reno was using his device for quite a bit already. Sure, it was super outdated, but it was what they had.

But to think he'd take it from Sephiroth would be pure stupidity.

So maybe Sephiroth would understand how important it was if he tried to take it anyway.

He stood up and he reached for Sephiroth's pocket.]

[ No such luck.

Sephiroth catches Reno's questing hand before it ever reaches him. ]

Rufus will decide that.

[ And since it doesn't seem like Reno will be giving up anytime soon, Sephiroth stands to leave. He places money enough for them both on the table and kind of looks at Reno to see if he'll be joining him for the train ride back. Sephiroth does need to unstop Rude at some point, after all. ]

[Nope, he wasn't going to be following Sephiroth. He was going to wait for Rude.]

[ Sephiroth leaves him there without hesitation and takes the train back. ]
