She probably isn't familiar to many as she has only made use of the network shortly after her arrival a handful of months ago. ))

To those who are parted from a spouse, do you find more comfort in holding out hope of their arrival in this place or accepting the loss and grieving for it?

[ She may not be familiar to many, but Yanli is one who pays attention. So, Atheva gets a soft smile out of the elder of the Jiang siblings. ]

Sometimes one holds out hope. My husband has been here before and then was taken. Though, there are those here whose spouses never show and they accept that loss, the grieve, and fill that time with making friends. Surrounding themselves with people so that they are not alone.

You have my sympathy for losing him more than once. Have you been married long?

[fierceprotector]

We were actually betrothed at a young age. Our mothers had known one another before we'd known each other.

[atheva]

How fortunate to have known each other for so long.

[fierceprotector]

Zixuan was a loving husband and a great father.

[atheva]

You have children? You must miss them terribly.

[fierceprotector]

I have a son, Jin Ling, who is actually here.

[atheva]

You're not alone. That is fortunate.

[fierceprotector]

No, I'm not alone. I have my son and my brothers. There are also those that I've made friends with too.

[atheva]

You are very fortunate. (( She pauses, looking down with what could be interpreted as hesitance. ))

I fear I may never see my family again.

[fierceprotector]

While you're here you can make friends, at least. We will be family for you until you're reunited with your own.

(( A warm smile takes over her expression. ))

I can be comfortable with that. I was in a similar situation when I met my husband.

[fierceprotector]

So you were with strange people that became more family than friends?

[atheva]

Yes. My clan sent me to observe a conclave and fate intervened. I was surrounded by people who didn't know or trust me (nor I them) and we ended up becoming a strange family of sorts.

[fierceprotector]

Then I'm sure that you'll fit right in.
