(( A pale face appears on the screen with notably pointed ears and markings that may seem strange to some on her face. If one looks at them just right, they seem to resemble the form of an owl. She probably isn't familiar to many as she has only made use of the network shortly after her arrival a handful of months ago. ))

To those who are parted from a spouse, do you find more comfort in holding out hope of their arrival in this place or accepting the loss and grieving for it?

Not all that long. Less than two months still.

Ah, not much longer than I have been here. I am glad you aren't alone.

[tightbod_bigrod]

I'm doing good, but what about you? Missing a partner sucks.

[atheva]

I'll survive. It's simply strange not to have him at my side. We've been through a great deal together.

[tightbod_bigrod]

I can relate.

[Troll as he would, he wouldn't fault someone for missing their partner.]

I could buy you a drink if you want.

You know your way around the Tokyo area?

Well enough. Where would you like to meet?

[He went ahead and gave directions to a small, nearby bar. It was a decent one. Classy atmosphere with a long, wooden counter and a well-dressed bartender, and it seemed like a suitable place to meet someone.

It also reminded him of home a bit.]

I can see you there in a while. It's not far from our place.

(( It's certainly different from the sort of taverns she's used to, but that's not surprising. There isn't much she's encountered in Nippon that's like her home. Even the magic is different. But that's hardly worrisome. She can still call on fire and frost if need be. ))

[He'd be there not too long after enjoying a drink, figuring it wouldn't take too long. He needed a break from all this 'business stuff' anyway. While he was having a good time and was looking forward to being successful in the future, it hadn't been something he'd ever been responsible for in his life before and it was a lot to take in.

He'd had no idea putting up dirty pictures would mean so much work. Hopefully, by the time Rude started chiding him for living off his dime his business would be making good money.

So sitting at the bar, sipping a nice drink and taking in the atmosphere was a nice break.

It was a little place, so it was easy to keep an eye on the door for whenever she arrived.]

(( Reno's not hard to pick out once one's seen him. Atheva is sure something similar could be said of her. The few elves she's met in Nippon are very different from her native Dalish. In any case, it's nice to actually meet someone and have a conversation in person. There's something impersonal about communicating via the device.

Atheva takes a seat beside him, offering a nod in greeting and a polite smile. It occurs to her that they didn't make any introductions before now. ))

[He gave a swift two-finger salute, but everything about his posture and tone were informal. He didn't come off as someone who couldn't sit up straight but someone who put out a certain thuggish image of himself in all his mannerisms.]
