[ Finding himself in a strange place in a strange time is new. He’d have said his life was fairly normal most of the time. He has a headache that just won’t go away and it’s keeping him up as he settles into the new place. ]

I’m sure people ask all sorts of questions when they arrive here. I’m going to skip asking if this is a nightmare or something because if it is then the answers don’t matter anyway. It’s a better nightmare than I’m used to.

Where does a starving artist get work here? And art supplies?
