Quick question: does the title "Archon" mean anything to anybody here? From your worlds.

[ The title of "Archon" - the supersoldiers he commanded - is immediately recognizable in his world. So it's a good lure to bring out anyone from his home who might have been here before him. He hopes that there is someone here he recognizes, or at least can relate to about their mutual world. Worst thing is that he'll just end up being a regular man in here, a stranger. ]

Yes, it's the title of the gods of the seven nations in Teyvat.

I'm not entirely surprised the name may mean something different in other worlds, but I'm surprised someone is asking. May I ask what brought this on?

Well consider me a god then! Haha
It's an easily recognizable title where I'm from. Me and the soldiers under my command are called Archons.
Was hoping some of them ended up here.

And you could say that. My Archons are humanity's best warriors.

All of humanity? Goodness, that's impressive.

Yep, not to brag or anything.
But that is the purpose of the Archon Program in my world.
Taken from different branches of military and police service from different colonies, we pick the best out of all of them if they pass our assessments.
It's an earned title.

[ And he's their commander. His confidence in his fighting skills in well earned, and his pride towards his troops are too. ]

I'm afraid we have nothing of the sort in Mondstadt, although perhaps those from other nations could chime in if they have something similar.

Yeah, you could say it's a very "mortal realm" kind of thing.
Guessing you're from either the above realm or the lower one to be using that term.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean actually. There are five realms where I come from.

Understood. I was just thinking along the lines of a general heaven, earth, and a hell worldview.
That's just the most commonly accepted view of things in my world.
But that's not the subject here.
I'm starting to think I might be the only one from my world if nobody has heard of an Archon.

I'm not sure I understand this concept. But that's alright. There's a great deal I'm still learning about other worlds.

You would not be the only one to be alone here from your world though. I was the same way for a good while when I arrived.

Thinking about how some of my friends would enjoy this place makes me kind of miss them.

Perhaps you'll be able to make new friends to introduce them too though. That could be nice.

That's definitely where the program's founders got that name.
It doesn't really apply to the Archons I'm referring to.
We're soldiers.

An Archon is a god of sorts where I'm from. But beyond that, really. It's almost as if it's a nations symbol - an icon for an entire land.

But I see my dear friend has told you that of Teyvat.

Presumably, not the same where you are?

Yeah, well, we're definitely not gods.
Although some people thought we were or called us such, but it's more out of ignorance and awe of what our world is capable of.
Younger civilizations with much to learn.
Archons where I'm from are just advanced soldiers.
We serve a more specialized purpose, enough for the title to be recognizable in my world. So I was hoping there's others that ended up here before me.

I haven't heard it used by anyone except those from Teyvat before you arrived. I've been here over a year. So chances are you're alone, I'm sorry to tell you.

However, there have been Archons from my home here.

[ He just sighs at the prospect that he is indeed alone here. It sucks, but he always make does with what he has. ]

Even gods get pulled here, huh?

I wouldn't mind meeting them
Even if it's only out of morbid curiosity.

[ Although he is conflicted about befriending them. He reminds himself that they're not the gods of his world, so they might be so different. But at the same time, his experience with his ex who's a god has soured his view a little. ]
