Quick question: does the title "Archon" mean anything to anybody here? From your worlds.

[ The title of "Archon" - the supersoldiers he commanded - is immediately recognizable in his world. So it's a good lure to bring out anyone from his home who might have been here before him. He hopes that there is someone here he recognizes, or at least can relate to about their mutual world. Worst thing is that he'll just end up being a regular man in here, a stranger. ]

Perhaps you'll be able to make new friends to introduce them too though. That could be nice.

Hey likewise.
So how long have you been here and what were you up to before all of this?

[dragonrising]

Almost a year now. Before coming here I was ruling the Heavenly Realm as its Emperor.

[lakan]

[ Troy pauses when he looks at the words on the screen, feeling his jaw slack and his eyes quirk wide. ]

Wow.
I'm in the presence of greatness.
Truly it's an honor to meet an Emperor.
Even though we're just regular people in here, huh?

[ Troy is pretty respectful towards authority figures unless they gave him reason not to, but he was never yielding to them even as a soldier. Even the fact that he's a king now - a fact he's still wrapping his head around - doesn't change that. ]

[dragonrising]

[He laughs softly when he reads the words.]

I do not hide my title but I am no one great.
You can treat me as any other.
Truthfully, I would prefer that.

[lakan]

Good.
Because I'm not exactly used to overly formal things.
Not to brag, but I'm actually a king where I was from.
Recently crowned, so I'm still getting my head around that fact.

[dragonrising]

I admit that I've held my title a good deal longer than you.
But I still find I prefer more informal settings of late.
They're more comfortable. Friendly.

[lakan]

Then we'll get along pretty well I feel.
Makes people easier to get to know that way too.
Nobody is forced to be overly polite to you.

[dragonrising]

Agreed. Besides, I feel when someone is overly polite it makes it easier for them to hide their true nature.
I like the honesty.

[lakan]

Agreed.
So what is it that you do here now?
Got a job?

[dragonrising]

I don't.
However, I volunteer places when I'm not spending time with my loved ones.
I have done a lot of wrong in my lifetime so I try to make up for what I have done by aiding others when I can now.
