Hi! I'm Ike!

I know some people here are from worlds that are a lot more technologically advanced than Nippon. If you brought your phone with you, it's probably dead by now, right?

I can charge them for you!

I'm a Thunder eleman, which probably doesn't mean a lot to any of the people here, but I can create and control electricity! It's the only way I ever charge mine.

I know some people would probably like having pictures or messages from home, or an easy camera, even if that's all they can be now. And after everything that happened earlier, I thought it'd be a nice way to get to know more people.

I should be obvious. I'll probably be the only person with feathers in her hair in the area and my manner of dress isn't local today. What about you?

Ah. Maybe Shibuya would be better? It's closest I think.

[There are literally so many nekomata still. It's only been a day or two since the pollen cleared, after all.]

I should be the only guy with red hair, and I'm wearing green today!

[Says the guy who wears green everyday.]

[ Green, hm? ]

Shibuya it is, then. I'll see you shortly.

[ Very, very shortly. She's spoiled and she knows it. The prospect of actually being able to use her phone -- to look at her pictures and messages, listen to her music and play games -- is more than an exciting one and it puts an extra kick into her step.

Red hair wearing green -- Ike shouldn't be difficult to spot at all, so where...? ]

[He's pretty easy to spot, his red hair standing in contrast to his green outfit -- which looks just a touch too big on his very thin frame. He's standing by one of the train stations, curiously eyeing an Inu Yokai who appears to also be waiting for someone... huh.]

[But he'll spot Setsura at much the same time, giving a wave -- revealing that both his hands appear to be carefully wrapped in bandages, circling each finger and trailing halfway down his arms.]

Ah, over here! Sorry, I-- don't think I got your name? I-I keep forgetting to ask that...

[chichichi]

[ She lifts a hand in greeting and doesn't quite pause despite that her eyes catch and subtly follow those bandages. At her age, she's practiced enough at taking people and details in, after all, and observant besides. She wonders, but he doesn't seem particularly bothered by it at the moment and when he speaks, she puts a pin in her wondering for a moment. ]

I keep forgetting to give it.

[ She offers apologetically, and with a slight bow. ]

My name is Setsura [ Light ] Yamaguchi. It's nice to meet you, Ike-san.

It's nice to meet you too, Setsura. [Awkwardly bows back -- he's still getting used to that, for all that he's quickly adopted the fashion here, at least.]

So, what kind of phone do you have? If you don't know what voltage it normally needs to charge, I can figure it out without damaging it.

[ And she's reaching into her pocket to pass it to him. ]

It's actually had a few modifications.

[ "A few," she says, like her phone hasn't been modded to hell even outside of being made capable of pretersupport. Is there a little bit of an apologetic lilt there? Maybe. ]

Don't worry, I'll be careful with it! Dealing with voltage output and machinery is what I did back home, so something like a phone is easy!

[He takes the phone gingerly into his hands. And as he does, a small spark travels between his fingertips, before the phone gives a brief jolt of vibration as it kicks on -- the screen lighting up to indicate it's charging.]

Hmm... it'll take a minute or two to figure out how long it should take, but it'll charge a lot faster in the future if the battery isn't totally drained.

[ She cants her head just so in observing him, wondering. ]

You really don't mind?

I don't! I have to discharge electricity everyday anyway, and it's a waste to just shoot it into the ground. That's how our city back home was powered, with lightning towers taking in the rest.

[A city full of living batteries, basically nbd.]

[chichichi]

[ What is it with other worlds using people as batteries in some fashion or other? Not only that, but -- ]

You're... not from some iteration of Earth, are you?

Nope! I-I didn't even know Earth was a place? I just thought it meant, like... dirt.

[Is that rude to say?? He voice gets a bit quieter until he clears his throat, redirecting.]

B-But-- where I'm from, everyone is an eleman, like me! There are humans who live on the other side of the Might Sea, but no one's really had a reason to make the journey. So I've only ever seen them in textbooks before I came here. It's... been a little weird, getting mistaken for one all the time.

What is the difference is between an eleman and a human?

[ She decides to start there; though, what she really wants to -- and will -- ask is what it's like being able to... channel? Utilize lightning, electricity. ]

Well-- a lot of things! We have liquid element running in our veins, which is how I can do this. Our body temperatures are a lot higher, and some types live a lot longer. I'm a Thunder eleman, but there's also Flame, Aqua, Garden, and Wind!

And even different types are different. Flame elemen have really high body temperatures and are almost totally fireproof, Wind elemen have bodies that can adjust to extreme levels of pressure... but to be honest, back home, the only humans we've ever seen have brown eyes, which are really rare in elemen. And a lot of eye colors are more common among certain types. So visually, that's usually a give away.

[Whether this is actually true, or whether they just really haven't come in contact with more than a handful of humans, is hard to say.]
