[Today Guara can be found in a beautiful and lush garden. There's plants all around him and everything looks healthy and happy. Gaura himself is smiling as he looks at the screen.]

Hi everyone. Some of you may know me but for those who don't my name is Gaura. I'm now the owner of the new plant nursery known as Harmony Gardens. Here I can grow anything you wish and sell it to you for you to take home that day.

[He starts walking through the garden so it can be clear he has everything from flowers to herbs to vegetables to trees...]

Every plant here is well cared for and I would be happy to teach you how to take care of any of them that you wish to bring home with you. I'm also open to providing plants for businesses if you need them. Just contact me and I can be a supplier for you.

[He smiles brightly then and gives a wave.]

I hope you will come to visit here soon! I look forward to seeing you!

Ah would you mind giving me your name again when you arrive? I have... Well, I have face blindness. So I won't be able to recognize you otherwise.

[ooc: We can shift to action! I don't mind!]

[He bows his head with a grin accepting the terms before Guara finishes speaking. However, he looks up with a confused frown soon after.]

Uh, sure, but.. you have what?

[ooc: awesome :)]

Face blindness. I can't remember faces or read expressions. I don't even know what my own face looks like.

[Just a couple months ago and he wouldn't have been able to say that so easily. Being around such supportive people has done wonders for him.]

So I would think you a stranger and I'd like to be able to greet you knowing who you are instead.

[Unfortunately Jingyi doesn't know the significance of this confession. He's never heard of this affliction before. From the tone, he can tell this isn't a trick of some kind, but it's difficult to wrap his mind around. His tone though, is sympathetic.]

Do you have trouble seeing other things? Is that why you get lost?

And yes, of course. I'll be happy to. In case you've forgotten, it's Lan Jingyi.

Yes. Sometimes it's like I have trouble telling angles apart so I don't realize I need to make a turn. It's like... [He ponders how to describe it.]

It's like you're walking on a street and the place you need to turn just seems like a picture rather than something real. So you don't know that's where you need to go.

[But he gives him a smile all the same.]

Lan Jingyi. I'll remember it. Promise.

[After saying goodbye, Jingyi spends the whole time he's navigating the streets thinking about what it'd be like to struggle with face blindness. By the time he gets to the nursery, he's decided he's going to ask his elders if they can do something to help this nice man.

Jingyi is a little easier to identify than others might, as he is wearing long, white robes and holding a sword in a white scabbard in one hand. When Jingyi sees Guara, he comes over and bows to him.]

Guara, it is Lan Jingyi.

[Gaura is kneeling in the dirt tending to a new plant he's added to his garden. When the young man approaches he doesn't appear to recognize him right away until the greeting. Then his face softens with recognition as he rises to his feet.]

Please, you don't have to bow to me. I'm no one special. It's nice to meet you, Lan Jingyi.

[Jingyi remembers how his pseudo-uncle explained that people didn't bow here. He hesitates, unsure what to say to that. The remark about not being special makes him assume Guara is explaining his lack of a gentry title.]

It's nice to meet you too, Guara. I'll try to remember about the bow, but it's how I've been taught to greet people respectfully even a commoner. Does it make you uncomfortable?

No. I just suppose I come from a culture where you don't bow to someone who has no title. If it's your culture then...

[He smiles to him.]

Will you teach me how I can bow to you in return?

[He's truly touched by the other guy offering so kindly to adjust to his customs. He decides then that this isn't just someone he's buying a plant from, but a potential friend- pink hair and all.]

If you'd like. It might be easiest if I guided your arms than you trying to mimic me. Would that be alright?

[He wouldn't normally touch anyone, especially someone he didn't know well, but he doesn't know how else to demonstrate a bow with a man whose sight is compromised.]

Of course. Go right ahead.

[He even offers his hands out so that way they can be positioned correctly. To make it easier for the other to help him.]

[Jingyi hesitates seeing how dusty the gardener was, but pushes that aside. This interaction is much more important than risking a smudge on his robes after all.

He gently coaxes Guara's arms so they make a circle out in front of him.]

To bow, you bend and lower your face until it's in line with your arms. The lower you move your arms, the greater respect you are giving someone. At least, that's how it is where I'm from. I'll remember it's not normally a part of your culture so if you don't, I won't take offense.

[Following the direction, he lets his arms form a circle. At the instruction, he bows as directed so that his head is in line with his arms before standing straight again with a soft smile.]

How did I do?

[Jingyi smiles brightly.]

That was perfect! You can now greet anyone in China properly!

Would you teach me something about where you are from?

[He's so glad he's done it right. He'll have to pay attention now to see who is from Jingyi's world so he can greet them properly.]

Something... Ah! Let me get the dirt off your sleeve first. I'm sorry about that.

[Going over, he gets a clean towel so he can carefully fold it and brush the dirt away.]

I should have cleaned up first. But yes. I'd love to show you something! I can teach you how to say hello to me in Korean if you like.

[He startles and looks down at his sleeve. He curls his nose at it, but tries hard not to react any more obviously to it. How exactly Jingyi thought he was going to get from the nursery to Jiang Yanli's house carrying a plant and not getting dirty is anyone's guess. It's not his fault though. Everyone in his clan has at least a mild case of mysophobia.]

I- it's alright. Thank you.

[He takes the cloth when it's offered, but forces his attention back on Guara instead of his white silk.]

I'd like that! Then we can greet each other in our own styles. If you need to guide my hands, you're welcome to.

Oh no, you won't need to use your hands. We use this to greet friends we meet.

[He bows his head then says:]

An nyeong ha seyo.

[Smiling at him, he tilts his head now.]

It's like saying "Hi! Hello! Good..." well whatever the time of day is really.

[He repeats the sentence a couple times, needing only a little correction. He also copies exactly the way Guara bows his head.]

Thank you! I'll practice it so I can use it when I see you next.

[He reaches into one of his sleeves and pulls out a small, silk, white bag. Inside is where he's stashed his Nippon money.]

So for the honeysuckle. How many of these do I give you? Oh.. uh.. do you have a pot to put it in?

I do.

[He talks about the price as he leads him over to a smaller honeysuckle bush that he carefully takes from the ground and puts into a pot.]

This way it can be planted by you or her at her home. But it'll be easier to carry it... Actually...

[He looks around then finds a clean white cloth. After cleaning his hands he gently wraps the cloth around the pot.]

This should keep your clothes from getting dirty while you carry it.

[There's something almost naïve about the way Jingyi handles the exchange of money. It's way too trusting and he needs some help with which bill or coin to give Guara. It isn't just that he isn't familiar with the currency, it seems he's not used to handling money at all.

He smiles as he takes the bundle.]

Thank you, Guara. It's been an honor meeting you.

[He takes a step back and hesitates.]

I live at the Unclean Realm with my clan leader and the man he's courting. If you'd ever like to stop by for tea, I'd be happy to host you.

[Gaura is the last person to swindle his new friend and even takes the time to show him which pieces are which as he counts out the right amount. When that's done, he smiles at his friend before offering a small giggle.]

Is the Unclean Realm a good place to live for someone who likes to be clean?

[He's noticed the hesitation to touch him while he's dirty, how thorough he was in getting the dirt off, and how clean those robes are. But he quickly lifts his hands to wave off the comment.]

I'm sorry. That was probably inappropriate to say. But I would love to join you for tea sometime.

[There's this brief moment of surprise at the comment before Jingyi too notices the irony of it. The words weren't quite the same in Chinese, but they were close enough. He ends up laughing just as Guara starts apologizing.

He shakes his head, snickering.]

No! No, it's.. *giggle* that was clever! I never thought of it that way. *Snicker*

[He waves cheerfully as he leaves. He hopes he sees the man with the pink hair again soon.]

[He giggles more, happy his new friend didn't find offense in his little joke. Waving him off, he goes to get back to tending to his plants.

But he'll at least make sure he's clean and properly dressed when they eventually have tea.]
