Then a back leg thumps impatiently against the floor. A flash of magic follows and then Xingchen is sitting where the rabbit had been, his black hair scattered with white strands. He quickly dresses himself and clears his throat.]

Forgive me. I meant to say: if you are near the Temple and find yourself in need of rest or refreshment, you are welcome. All are welcome as long as you come in peace and do not mind cats.

Or... [Another cough.] Rabbits.

Dark Nation is my protection but like so many of us is finding this place very different, full of new experiences.

She could use some friends who can run around with her and play.

[As promised, the next day Rufus finds his way to the Temple. He had told Tseng that he was going to walk Dark Nation to do some errands, that he would be fine on his own. No one knew who he was here, Dark Nation would be sufficient protection.

He had done a couple of errands to pick up a few things before he arrives at the Temple, Dark Nation curious as to where they are going. She rarely was able to get outside back home so she was enjoying living in a new environment.

Rufus keeps a hand on her chain leash as they enter the temple grounds especially as she's excited to explore a new place, back tentacle waving eagerly.]

Slow down, D. I know you'll be on your best behavior here.

[Xingchen is feeding some koi fish in their new pool, laughing as greedy mouths gobble up the offerings.]

I promise you won't go hungry.

[He dusts off his hands and scoops up Cheng, the big orange cat.]

Do we have visitors?

[Rubbing over the sweet cat's head, he walks around a corner and spies Rufus with Dark Nation. Grinning broadly, he bows to the man - as much as he can with his cute cargo.]

Welcome. I see you brought your special girl.

Dark Nation was eager to get out and have somewhere new to explore.

[Rufus normally wasn't the sentimental type but when it came to Dark Nation he would do almost anything to make her happy, including taking her somewhere she could run around and have fun at.]

It's a pleasure to meet you, thank you for having us here.

[He had never actually seen a cat since he was a child, the Shinra building wasn't exactly animal friendly aside from the creations in Hojo's lab and those weren't cute and cuddly.]

I hope she'll be on her best behavior, she's never interacted with other animals before but she's well trained.
