I feel like there's so many of us from our world who are not used to this place and miss home. So I'd like to start learning to make things to serve to people to make them smile if I can.

I admit I'm most used to the simpler flavors the Lan enjoy. But, well... [He pauses then smiles.]

I actually quite like turnips a lot.

We can roast turnips with some butter and sage. [Since they are not really great for desserts.] I like simple fare myself. We didn't have anything overly complicated on the mountain.

That sounds wonderful. I would love to learn this! We used to grow them when I was little and one of my fathers, one of the men who took me in, planted me in the dirt like I was a turnip!

[He laughs because clearly it's a happy memory for him.]

Did he? Would that be...Wei Wuxian? [His lips twitch.] He struck me as a bit mischievous.

I know that the Lan gave me the name. But I know it was Hanguang-jun in my heart.

I can't imagine anyone else naming you. [First Sizhui was with his nephew and then...Lan Wangji. And he suspects those two are soulmates.]

I can't either. I don't think he'll ever admit to it but that's alright. I don't mind.
