Hello~o~o, Nipp~on!

[ The video clips on and Venti seems to be up somewhere... high, maybe? He's not on the ground at least. It's difficult to tell where he is. His voice is loud and he has a bottle in his right hand. He doesn't seem drunk - or even tipsy, though the bottle is definitely not full. He's in a good mood. ]

I'm Venti - a bard from Teyvat! Most famously from Mondstadt. It's been awhile since I've said anything here and I wanted to introduce myself. And I wanted to hear from you, too!

[ He smiles wide. His voice is still loud. ]

I'm going to be playing a lot of music out here, and while I've learned some songs native to here over time, I want to learn some songs from your homes, too!

[ He leans into the camera, as if he's telling a secret, and his voice gets quiet. ]

So I think you need to tell me about those songs. I'd be happy to play them for you. And if you'd like to meet a dragon, I might be able to do that for you, too!

[ He pulls away from the camera, and his voice rises again. ]

Also - if you're from Teyvat - please say hi! I'm sure there's many of you I've never gotten the chance to meet, or haven't seen in awhile! I'd love to see you again~

Maybe we can get drinks together.

[ He lets out a small - ehe before he shuts off the device. ]

Dvalin... [Why is that name so strangely familiar. Has she heard it before?]

Well, if he's a friend of yours then he must have a good heart. I'd love to meet him.

I'd never lead you astray, Vennessa. Nor would I let you get hurt. Especially here! If I call to him when we're together next, then he'll come. We'll just have to make sure there's some space because he's...well, a dragon.

[Well, she can't deny that both of those things are true. He wouldn't lead her astray, and he wouldn't let her get hurt. His actions in the short time she has known him have proven that much to her.]

If you say so, then I'll trust you. [Of course.]

But why wait? I'd love to meet him.

Then there's no reason to delay. I can come to you, if you'd like.

Sounds like a date. [She replies with a grin, resting her chin on her hand for a moment.]

Do you need me to call for you on the wind, or do you think you can find me?

I think I can find you. It might even be easy for me.

[ After all, she is speaking out loud. All he really has to do is listen for a few moments and then he'll be there, not far from her. He's dressed comfortable and cute. His outfit is fairly relaxed fitting. ]

I told you.

[She has no doubt it will be entirely easy for him, because he has always been able to locate her. Vennessa is quite sure she wouldn't be able to hide from him even if she wanted to.

When he appears nearby she smiles immediately, heading over to him and leaning down to press a kiss to his cheek.]

Hello, Venti.

[He is looking very cute today.]

Where do we need to go?

[ He reaches up to give her a hug, rising onto the tip of his toes to do so. He releases her after just a few moments and settles back onto his feet. ]

I'll lead you there! It's just somewhere that I know he won't disrupt anything.

[ Including things like houses or other living spaces. He doesn't want Dvalin to cause any damage to the city. He'd hate to create a reputation for his dear friend. He reaches to grab Vennessa's hand so that they can walk together. ]

[When he hugs her like that she squeezes her arms gently around him, smiling against his shoulder. Still, she feels so immeasurably blessed to be able to be with him like this, to have his friendship like this... it's so important to her.

Hand in hand with him, she follows along to wherever he feels might be best for this meeting.]

Does he know that I'm coming?

[She might be a little nervous, but she feels like that's for a good reason.]

Well, we don't come to him. We go to a good spot, and he'll come to us. I didn't tell him who he's meeting. But he trusts me and knows I will never bring him to someone who would harm him.

[ Venti's earnest when he says that, too. Dvalin is another one of his old friends that he's cared deeply for. They trust each other. He is certain that he will like Vennessa, even if only initially because of Venti introducing them.

He stops the walking when he gets to what looks to be a smaller clearing. ]

Here - I'll play and he'll come. He spends time nearby, but this is so he'll come to us here.

All right.

[That she trusts Venti doesn't need to be said. Of course she does - she would trust him with her life and more, and hadn't she done so already? He doesn't need to say it for her to know she is one of the most important people in his life even with his long years.

When they stop, she plants a hand on her hip and looks up at the sky.]

Go ahead and play, I'm ready.

[ He unties his lyre from where it was hanging at his hip and brings it up to settle on his chest, positioning it to start playing. His fingers pluck a couple of strings first, then he looks up towards Vennessa. ]

Good.

[ And then he closes his eyes, focused as he starts to pluck them. His fingers move delicately over the instrument as he plays a song as old as his Mondstadt, old enough to summon Dvalin's appearance.

When the dragon appears, there's a small bit of wind coming from the distance, and his eyes open up and look in his direction. ]

[She probably should not panic, and she understands very well that Venti would never put her in any danger, but when the dragon actually appears following the music and the wind she can't help but feel a spike of not-quite-fear at his arrival. Her stance shifts, one foot moving backwards, and she looks up at Dvalin with a mixture of awe and reverence.]

This is...

[It feels like something she should remember. He feels like something she should remember. Close by and yet far out of reach all at once.

Vennessa bows her head.]

I'm honoured.

[ He feels delighted to see the way she looks at Dvalin. He is her oldest friend, and Venti knows that he is good and wouldn't dream of hurting her. Dvalin trusts Venti, too. It's clear in the way that he seems to remain relaxed in Vennessa's familiar presence. He looks at her - steadfast and bows his head for a moment when she says she's honored.

Venti lets out a small giggle. ]

I've known him a very long time, Vennessa. He is a true and good friend, just as you are to me. There wasn't a doubt in my mind that he'd like you.

[ What's not to like. ]

[When Dvalin bows his head like that she can't help herself but to lift her hand up, her eyes a little wide as the wind seems to move around her. It feels like she's on the edge of remembering something terribly important, but it's just out of reach.]

I know you, don't I, Dvalin?

[She says those words quietly, her eyes fixed on his. She isn't sure how she knows this, but she's so sure of it when the words come out of her mouth.]

This feels so strange.
