[Kaeya raised his hand in greeting and with a broad smile.]

Hello, everyone. For those who don't know, I'm Kaeya Alberich.

I just wanted to make an announcement. We don't have a date set quite yet, but Diluc Ragvindr and I will be opening a tavern of our own called Before Sunrise.

It will be located --

[THUD.

Kaeya started, shoulders hunching up and the video jerking in response to his surprise. He had no more than those two seconds of surprise and didn't even get to look at what caused the ruckus before an incredibly loud falcon cry was heard.

Kaeya let out a very undignified shriek of his own and the video flipped wildly as Kaeya tumbled right off the engawa he was sitting on. There's another audible thud as he hits the ground followed by a slightly pained groan. The device managed to land upright and said falcon was looking down at it with a tilt of its head.]

[Diluc shows up in short order and can be heard at the door fumbling to get his shoes off before he's hurrying through the house, skidding slightly on the wooden floor of the kitchen as he bursts into the room.]

Aqila!

[And Kaeya gets a kiss, of course, before he turns his full attention to the bird. For her part the falcon looks ambivalent about her master being there, but visibly puffs up her chest when he moves to pet her.]

My girl... you're so clever, finding Kaeya like that. [She lets out a croaky chirp at him and he laughs softly.] Good girl.

[By the time he gets the obligatory kiss on the cheek, Kaeya is looking far too amused to be offended over Aqila getting more attention given it wasn't every day one hears just how excited Diluc is over the precious falcon.

Also, hearing him stumble around getting his shoes off was pure hilarity ]

She just wanted food. Yes, she ate. No Once Upon a Night in Mondstadt though for tonight though. She was hungry.

I think I can manage without it.

[He coaxes the bird up onto his forearm, not bothering with any extra protection. Her talons dent into the fabric of his yukata but don't tear it even as he gently jostles her by lifting her up. Aqila lets out a soft cry as he pets her chest and the top of her head with one finger.]

Hm, we'll have to get something set up outside for her... she won't tolerate being kept indoors for too long.

[But that should be simple. Something for her to perch on for a start, then anything else can come after.]

I can't imagine she would. Not sure we have anything for her to perch on, but you're out here a lot more than I am.

[So Diluc would be the one to know where to put her.]

I can go to the store if you. Let you catch up with your little lovebird?

Mm, if you wouldn't mind. I'm not sure she'd forgive me if I left again so soon after getting back.

[Oh, she surely would, but since Kaeya is offering so nicely to go out himself Diluc is happy to take him up on it.]

You can get some money out of my jacket.

I wouldn't have offered if I did. I'll be back soon.

[Kaeya did not, in fact, get the money from Diluc's jacket. He was more than happy to help spend on Aqila if only because of how happy the redhead was for his bird to have arrived here. Maybe he would pick up dinner too... what sound good right about now?

Ah well, he'll figure it out on the way. The woodworker's shop was slight ways away anyhow.]
