Sooo... I've got this katana now.
Except, I have no idea how to use a katana.
At least not in real life, you know.
Does anyone want to teach me?

[Is that a common thing in this world?]

I am skilled with a sword, but this katana has a different balance to the sabers that I usually use.

I haven't really used real weapons before at all.

There's also a park near my dorm.
Whatever is easiest for you!

Uhm yeah.
[ insert the name of one of the Tokyo parks that's close to the dormitories. ]

Do you have a core or some kind of magic that will help you with this?
no subject
What? No... I'm just normal.
Text to Action
Also.. how is having a core or magic not 'normal'?]
I'll see you at the park shortly.
[Jingyi shows up and looks around for another person with a sword. He realizes now he didn't ask for any description so he could identify Gan Kunwoo.]
no subject
Well, it's not normal where Kunwoo is from...
He's carrying the katana when he gets to the park and he looks for someone that seems to be looking for someone else. ]
Hey!?
[ He calls out when he sees the other, he might fit the bill... ]

It's an honor to meet you face to face, Gan Kunwoo.

Nice to meet you too. Thank you for offering to help me.

You're welcome. It's wise of you to seek help when you're unfamiliar with a weapon. With a sword at your side, someone may assume you are skilled. Did the person who gave you the sword tell you its name?

Repeat until they stop moving.
[ He's so helpful :) ]

It seems like it'd be important to learn how to keep yourself from getting stabbed too.
no subject
That's why you keep the sharp and pointy bits away from yourself.
But I take your meaning. I'd suggest purchasing or fashioning a wooden practice sword.
no subject
I meant what if someone else has a sword too!?

I hate to have to break it to you darling, but you're almost as likely to cut yourself if you're not careful.
My own style of combat centers on the element of surprise, so ideally, no one has the opportunity to strike back. But it does happen, and it's difficult to walk away from a contest of blades without bleeding. Just so you're prepared for that eventuality.
