[Yuchi Longyan is in the middle of a crowd. He looks around him, amused, taking in random conversations.

I did not know so many personalities could exist. Humans are truly like bright sparks.

[He steps out into the throng and takes his time, smiling sedately.]

I made it perfect for you. [Longyan admits, waiting for his friend to settle before he sends healing energy his way. Water is a good conduit for it.]

Have you ever been in love?

[lordofrebirth]

[That causes his eyes to open. Well that and he can feel the healing energy in the water now.]

I don't need your care, Dragon King.

[He could stop it but he doesn't. Instead he just lets the other do as he pleases. Sighing, he goes to close his eyes again when the question gives him pause.]

No.

[Only that answer feels...wrong. The pain in his head is there and he frowns, now closing his eyes for real to try to pretending like he doesn't feel it.]

[longyan]

I already gave it; it's too late. [Oh no, whatever will he do? He is still sending more of said energy, turning the spring a nice glowing golden hue.

The reaction is interesting. He doesn't sense that Qianxun is lying, at least not on purpose.]

I wonder what it's like.

[lordofrebirth]

Says the dragon who won't shut up about marrying that mortal girl in my time.

[Drawing in a deep breath, he opens himself up to the energy. He doubts it will help but if the idiot is going to try then fine. At least the fool has had time to heal here.]

[longyan]

She must be fascinating. [To get his attention and hold it! He smiles to himself and sinks down into the water until it touches his chin.]

What does she look like? Is it the woman who rescued me?

[lordofrebirth]

I already told you I won't tell you.

[He even turns around to present his back to him while he balances his arms on the rocks. Nope. He's not telling him anything about this woman he's in love with.]

[longyan]

[He swims up to Qianxun's side and peeks into his friend's face.]

If you're worried about the future, we probably won't remember being here. It would change too much as it is.

[lordofrebirth]

I'm not worried.

[He's just being a brat honestly. Because he's capable of that too. Like now when he has his head perched on his hand and his eyes closed so he won't have to look at the dragon who is now next to him.]

[longyan]

[Bumping their shoulders together, Longyan lifts a dripping hand to rub his friend's temple.]

Then you're being difficult for no reason.

[He lets out a huff but doesn't deny the fact. He does however open one eye to look at him.]

You're still fussing over me.

[He's totally fine, thank you. He's really not that fine.]

[longyan]

[Now both temples are being rubbed. Because Yuchi Longyan is a monster.]

Your head hurts. I'm sure I can help.

[lordofrebirth]

[He makes a half-hearted swipe at those hands. Only because the massage does actually feel very good and he's not really that eager to stop it.]

You're an idiot.

[longyan]

[As if such a weak swipe could send him running! Longyan snorts and continues his massage. His poor friend must be miserable.]

Just shut your eyes.

[lordofrebirth]

[Fine. If he won't stop then he at least turns around to make it easier for him. And he does close his eyes as he leans his head back against a rock. Having basically an on and off again headache for several weeks is not easy on someone. Not even an Immortal is immune to that.]

[longyan]

[Headaches suck for anyone! Longyan knows pressure points, at least, from his various injuries and he utilizes them for Qianxun. His rubbing and the heat of the spring should have a beneficial effect, though the cause of the pain still needs to be addressed.

What could it be? Is there something wrong with his friend's mind?]

[As much as he claims the dragon isn't his friend, it's very clear how much trust he has in him to relax this much. Enough so that he drifts off a little bit. Not completely but certainly more than he would around most taking care of him, breath evening out gently.

In truth he hasn't really been sleeping much and that's just because it's a pattern he's used to from his duties. Never enough time for actual sleep. Just naps here and there. Here he has all the free time in the world but his body still hasn't learned to truly rest.]

[longyan]

[Longyan can hear the difference in his breathing and he stays close, making little to no sound so his friend can rest. Being here is difficult, but he has hope that they will discover a new way to cut the ties that bind them to the heavens. If the heavens are responsible for this new, troubling, symptom, Longyan will gladly bite back with all his power. No one harms his friends and gets away with it.]

[He really isn't sure how much time passes when his eyes flutter open. Minutes? Hours? He doesn't know. All the Immortal knows is that he's still in the warm water and he feels that tired feeling he always gets after just waking from a nap. Improper sleep cycles? Bad for anyone.

But he does look for the dragon. To see if he's still there, of course.]

[longyan]

[Oh Longyan is there alright - just in a different form. He is a medium sized dragon slumbering on the edge of the pool, keeping his friend hidden and undisturbed. His ear twitches and his tail waves lazily.]

[He looks surprised to see he'd been protected. Both his safety and his privacy. Looking to the side, he tries to hide how grateful he is for it, disguising it by pushing a hand through his hair instead. Before reaching up to let his hair down with the intention of fixing it again.]

[longyan]

[There are not many immortals Longyan likes. Even if he comes to blows with Qianxun, that doesn't mean he will stop liking him. The Lord is true to his word, honest - sometimes brutally so - and more kind than he lets on.

Yawning, Longyan wakes and peers back at his friend. Then slips into the water like a snake and returns to his human form. He smiles brightly as if no time has passed.]

[He watches the dragon join him in the water again then sighs and summons a comb to his hand before offing it and his hair piece to Longyan.]

Only because I don't have a mirror.

[Says the man who could summon one as easily as the comb.]

[longyan]

[Longyan takes both with open glee! How could he not? The comb is soon sliding through Qianxun's hair, pausing to painlessly deal with any snags.]

You don't need one. I know how you like your hair.

[lordofrebirth]

I wear my hair in more than just one way.

[A complaint even as he lets the other continue to take care of his hair.]

[longyan]

But you have a favorite style.

[Don't argue with his friend knowledge! He smooths back the dark hair and bites his cheek to keep from chuckling. So soft!]
