[Yuchi Longyan is in the middle of a crowd. He looks around him, amused, taking in random conversations.

I did not know so many personalities could exist. Humans are truly like bright sparks.

[He steps out into the throng and takes his time, smiling sedately.]

[As much as he claims the dragon isn't his friend, it's very clear how much trust he has in him to relax this much. Enough so that he drifts off a little bit. Not completely but certainly more than he would around most taking care of him, breath evening out gently.

In truth he hasn't really been sleeping much and that's just because it's a pattern he's used to from his duties. Never enough time for actual sleep. Just naps here and there. Here he has all the free time in the world but his body still hasn't learned to truly rest.]

[Longyan can hear the difference in his breathing and he stays close, making little to no sound so his friend can rest. Being here is difficult, but he has hope that they will discover a new way to cut the ties that bind them to the heavens. If the heavens are responsible for this new, troubling, symptom, Longyan will gladly bite back with all his power. No one harms his friends and gets away with it.]

[He really isn't sure how much time passes when his eyes flutter open. Minutes? Hours? He doesn't know. All the Immortal knows is that he's still in the warm water and he feels that tired feeling he always gets after just waking from a nap. Improper sleep cycles? Bad for anyone.

But he does look for the dragon. To see if he's still there, of course.]

[Oh Longyan is there alright - just in a different form. He is a medium sized dragon slumbering on the edge of the pool, keeping his friend hidden and undisturbed. His ear twitches and his tail waves lazily.]

[He looks surprised to see he'd been protected. Both his safety and his privacy. Looking to the side, he tries to hide how grateful he is for it, disguising it by pushing a hand through his hair instead. Before reaching up to let his hair down with the intention of fixing it again.]

[longyan]

[There are not many immortals Longyan likes. Even if he comes to blows with Qianxun, that doesn't mean he will stop liking him. The Lord is true to his word, honest - sometimes brutally so - and more kind than he lets on.

Yawning, Longyan wakes and peers back at his friend. Then slips into the water like a snake and returns to his human form. He smiles brightly as if no time has passed.]

[He watches the dragon join him in the water again then sighs and summons a comb to his hand before offing it and his hair piece to Longyan.]

Only because I don't have a mirror.

[Says the man who could summon one as easily as the comb.]

[longyan]

[Longyan takes both with open glee! How could he not? The comb is soon sliding through Qianxun's hair, pausing to painlessly deal with any snags.]

You don't need one. I know how you like your hair.

[lordofrebirth]

I wear my hair in more than just one way.

[A complaint even as he lets the other continue to take care of his hair.]

[longyan]

But you have a favorite style.

[Don't argue with his friend knowledge! He smooths back the dark hair and bites his cheek to keep from chuckling. So soft!]

I do not.

[Eyes closed, he lets himself relax. Even if he is having an argument about his own hair right now.]

[longyan]

Really? That's a bit unusual.

[All the same, he gathers the dark hair in a style that he thinks goes well with the hair piece.]

If it is practical and will suit the attire then I will wear it.

[Obviously. Stupid dragon.]

[longyan]

[He finishes his artwork and then snickers.]

You're not wearing anything right now.

[lordofrebirth]

I will when we get out and get dressed.

[He lifts his hand to feel his hair now to check and see if the dragon did something stupid.]

[longyan]

[It's not stupid! It's lovely. Longyan meanwhile shakes his silver hair out of his eyes and blinks sedately. So what if he's a mess?]

Clothes are such a pain.

[lordofrebirth]

[Hm. Suitable. Good.]

Yet necessary for interacting with others.

[longyan]

Are they? [He is not convinced.] Fate Immortal talks to me all the time when I'm naked.

[lordofrebirth]

You hardly give him a choice. [He settles to enjoy the water again.] You will need to wear clothes when interacting with your future bride though.

[longyan]

Well she's a girl. [Girls are different.] It's his fault for entering my home without permission.

[lordofrebirth]

If you actually cared about the permission then you would react more strongly than merely being naked in front of him. [He knows those two are friends, after all.]

[longyan]

He has never complained. [Which...should make him question certain things. But it doesn't.]

[lordofrebirth]

I somehow doubt that. [With a wave of his hand, he summons the wine to them so they can drink here.]

[longyan]

No, I'm serious! He talks about girls being embarrassed, but he's not.

[Ooo wine! Longyan swims to the edge to enjoy.]

That counts as a complaint.

[Summoning a floating tray, he lets the wine sit on it to make it easier to reach then enjoys his own cup.]
