[When Hizashi's voice hits the "radio" waves, it's clear he's comfortable talking through this medium like he does it for a job or something. There's also a unique timbre to his voice like there's a little bit more punch behind it somehow. Regardless, his tone is bright, cheerful, and energetic. A real Radio Personality]

So I'm really just getting used to being in his bizarro version of an ultra tech lacking Japan -- talk about being in the PAST, yo! Still not really sure I'm vibing with... You know. Being here. But hey hey!! I'm all about making lemonade from lemons!!

So help me pass a bit of time, what do you say?

I'm shouting this out to everyone who can hear me! Tell me your favorite song! Music genre!! Tell me what gets you up and out of bed in the morning ready to party!

It's kind of fun putting feelers out like this and getting to know people. Hard to gauge just what I think of this place without REALLY knowing any of you!

[It wasn't exactly difficult to spot the overzealous gentleman. Minato was getting his drink when he heard the network post both in real time and when it's officially posted. He thought about answering while waiting in line for some coffee, but then realized he never did figure out how to play music on this thing. The device was older than his MP3 player despite having features reminiscent of those smartphones that were starting to come out back home.

So, he waited patiently for his coffee and then approached the gentleman. He had his earphones in hand, connected to his ever present MP3 player that hung around his neck, and held them out to the guy.]

Don't have a particular favorite, but I like this one a lot.

[The song was already playing, all he had to do was put the earphones to his ears (or clip them on if he wanted, Minato won't mind.)]

[Honestly, he wasn't expecting people to show up in meat space. So when the kid walks up and holds the headphones out, he looks a little surprised. It's quickly smoothed over by a big grin as he takes the headphones. He doesn't clip them on, but he does listen, his crossed leg bouncing a little to the tune.]

Pretty Jazzy kiddo! You've got interesting taste. [He holds the headphones back out.] Pretty unique too. Haven't heard that one before!

[A genuine question, honest. He took the headphones back and draped them around his neck as usual.]

( it takes him another ten minutes or so before he gets there, maybe. who knows how far this is from their apartment. anyway. he slouches inside and spots hizashi immediately before he is spotted. it isn't that he doesn't want to meet his friend for coffee, but he also wants to just... sleep... for a while. he rarely got any back in proper japan. at least in fauxpan he can sleep without worrying if one of his students will fuck off to god knows where to get themselves in serious trouble, or having to sit up for hours at night reading the strangest and, quite frankly, often disturbing papers.

he sighs and rubs his eyes — they're bothering him, but whatever — before slipping into the seat opposite hizashi. )

Hey.

Hey hey hey! Knew I could count on you. Promise I'm not gonna keep you out all day.

[He pushes forward the black coffee, then shifts in his seat a bit to root around in his back pocket. He makes that face one does when searching for something but isn't finding it, before he finally pulls out a tiny little eyedrop bottle.

He holds it out, too.]

Here. Kept these on hand, so I guess you could call yourself lucky.

( he grunts as a means of thanks for the coffee, then drinks it immediately, uncaring if it's still actually hot, warm, or cold, at this point. it's not bad, but he kind of wants something sweet to go with it now. he wonders if hizashi ordered anything to eat.

but, before that, he takes the eyedrops and... uses them immediately before just leaving them on the table. just in case. )

Thanks, appreciate it. ( his fingers tap the side of the cup still comfortably nestled between his hands. ) This your new haunt now?

[It doesn't seem like he's ordered anything at first, until a waitress comes by with two squares of coffee cake. One for each of them. Hizashi just laughs, waving in thanks as he shrugs one shoulder at his best friend.]

Maybe!! Wanted to get out. Unlike you I'm feeling a little cramped in that apartment.

[An understatement, but all that needs to be said. He scratches the back of his head, pulling his fingers through his half-up hairstyle.]

I wanted to get a better feel for this place. We've been here for a few weeks, but it still feels off, yo. Guess it's just familiar enough to be unsettling.

( somehow it doesn't surprise him when food seems to magically appear at the table; he offers a... sort of there smile at the waitress before he drags the plate close and takes a bite of it. sure, the apartment is small, but aizawa doesn't really mind. it's not like he needs a lot of space or a lot of things that take up space. maybe it might've been better if they lived separately, but it's too late for that now. hizashi would feel cramped anywhere because his personality is so big.

but, aizawa doesn't say that.

Yeah, it's weird. ( it's something he's concerned about, but, at the moment he knows there's nothing that can be done but just accept this weirdness for now. which means he's doing that by catching up on sleep.

I've gotten one or two people stopping by actually! Didn't expect that part. Guess it's a little more lively than I thought to begin with.

[He seems pleased by this, lifting his drink to his lips to sip on it before setting it down again. He stretches out a little, long limbs reaching up into the air or out beside the table.]

Not sure I'd call 'em friends yet. [a pause, and he frowns.] You know kids've gotten dragged into this?

[He assumes at least. The one he spoke to before Aizawa got here certainly seemed to be like them. From somewhere or someWHEN different, but all the same...]

( for a few moments he just sits there staring in the dark roast of his coffee. he can see a partial reflection of hizashi in the liquid and looks at it for those few moments. slowly he blinks, then he lifts up the coffee cake and takes a large bite of it, just silently chewing it and looking at coffee-hizashi.

after, he exhales a breath, wipes some crumbs from his mouth and lifts the cup to his lips for a drink as if any of this is going to stall for time or soften the blow of what he might say; he rubs his eyes before tiredly looking over at his friend. )

You know kids get dragged into lots of things. ( he doesn't thing he needs to say more than that. look at what happened at usj. he puts the cup down with a soft clink against the table. ) Seems like they're better off here than what the kids were getting involved in back— ( it feels weird to say home because they're in japan, still, kind of??, but this isn't their home... ) ...back where we come from.

[Koro watches amusingly as this energetic man talks to a device at the table next to his.

Hmmmm the real classics! Gonna admit I've got the least experience with western classics, but I recognize the name! I'll have to keep the name in mind, dude! What about it makes it your favorite?

Well it isn't my favorite of all time but it's hard to pick a favorite, you know?

But let's see...I'm rather fond of ballroom dancing. It's a very fun and intimate activity...I highly suggest you try it sometime.

I like most music, in truth, but then, I am a bard. It is something of a requirement! And tis considered bad manners to admit to a favourite, although outside of my own work, I favour Daeron's, as he is the only one I've found to match me.

[ Not that he expects anyone outside of his own kinsfolk to know who that is. This is a test - there's a curl through his voice, like the push and pull of the waves, just the slightest hint of storm. He doesn't normally bother to add Power to his voice when talking, and this is really just a poke, to see if the other knows enough to recognise it. ]
