Hello, this is Gershom. I could use some advice about clothes shopping?
I haven't had to dress for being around other people in a long time, so I'm not sure what people usually have in their wardrobes. I know I need casual clothes and formal clothes, but the specifics are a bit lost on me...?

We don't know each other, but I would be happy to help you.
Clothes are essentially a way to express yourself!
If you have a favorite style you like, or favorite color, that's something to go on.

I'm not sure what styles there even are these days... I do like blue and white.

Actually, this place has different styles than what I'm used to, but they still seem very bold.
Have you tried looking at the various storefronts to get an idea of what you might want to try?

That's a good start, too. If you like that shirt, then maybe you can find more shirts in that style, but with different colors and patterns.
The more popular style of pants they have here look comfortable, as well. I don't know what they're called.

Back to the clothes, though, what are some other questions you still have?

I think it varies from person to person.
Some people like to wear the same outfit every other day, while others want a change of clothes for every day of the week.
Money also plays a role, because, the more money you have, the more clothes you can buy.
As someone who constantly wore what was considered a uniform, I didn't see the need to have a different outfit.

Thank you. I'm sorry for having so many silly questions.

You're probably not the only one with questions like these.

If you want, we can go clothes-shopping together, sometime. I want to learn more about the fashion here, too.

Their attire is different than my own world. It would be hard to pick out what's appropriate.

People watching may benefit you here. See what they're wearing and copy it if you so choose.

Where are you from? I'm originally from Spain, though I've been living in the US for a while now.

Italy. What year do you hail from?
