[ The video starts off with a cat. A very fluffy cat with familiar ribbons where a cat's "side bangs" would be, and a familiar tiara-like ponytail… Said cat's fluffy tail is up as it is perched on someone she's comfortable with. As for said ‘comfortable someone’, all one can see of him is his midsection- a ribbed, sleeveless turtleneck top with his face out of shot. The focus of this was, after all, on the teeny fluffball. ]

Okay. We’re rolling.

[ Clearing her throat, which sounds like a cat trying to cough up a fur ball, she begins to speak: ]

Greetings. My name is Kamisato Ayaka, and as you can see, I have turned into a cat.

[ But because she is a cat? All one would be able to hear is her meowing at the camera. Literal "nya" and "meow" sounds, and no actual words being spoken. She… thinks people can understand her, because Cloud sure can. ]

Nya nya nya, nya nya nyanyanya, nya nya… [ She's talking about how this is probably Kizuna and asking if there is a way to reverse it as soon as possible because she has work to do… her ears fold inward and she "nyaa"s sadly. Out of shot, there’s a soft sigh before the magi-comm’s camera is angled up, leaving just the head of Nyayaka barely in frame as Cloud leans down a little to show up. ]

Right. That just about covers everything. [ covers what ] Anyone that’s got any ideas, thanks in advance.

[ The camera angles back down to Miss Kameowsato. ]

Nya.

[ Ever polite, Ayaka bows her head as thanks. ]

Think you got it, [ says an out of shot Cloud, hand coming down to gently pat her atop her floofy head before he reaches to stop the recording. ]

Meowing. It's pretty cute, but I don't understand a word of it.

But- [ So they got this orchestrated, camera set up, ribbons and ponytail set up in advance-AHEM and nobody got any of that... ] You mean I'm the only one that—

[ Looks down to Ayaka. Looks up to Zack. ... back to Ayaka. Back to Zack. ]

Don't know why.

Unless someone speaks cat, yep, it's just you.

[the corner of his mouth twitches] I don't know why she changed, but I can take a guess at why you still understand her.

Really? Why's that?

[ He'll take any leads if it means he can turn her back to normal! He leans into the camera further, eyes bright and wide, and ears just as open. ]

[fairlyheroic]

[. . . wait, are they open about dating, is this something he should be tactful about . . . he's gonna err on the side of caution, just in case!]

Well, think about it. It's Kizuna causing it, right? You two are pretty close, so . . . [his hand waves past the camera as he gestures] Maybe that's why she can talk to you.

[sultanofsquat]

[ Well they're not shouting it from the rooftops, but, to answer Zack's cautious approach- ]

Our Kizuna bond... [ He sighs. ] Makes sense. [ His shoulders lax as the reasoning makes sense. ] Been dating long enough.

[ Sooo...open about dating! Just. Again. Not yelling it through a megaphone. aksjfhd ]

I'd say so. I don't know what else it could be.

[but it makes sense to him too, what with his understanding of how Kizuna works. As for the dating, open but not showy, which tracks for them, he thinks]

[ He breathes softer now. If that's what caused this...as long as it wasn't permanent, he supposes it wasn't so bad. Easy for you to say, Cloud. You're not the one who got turned into a cat.

Cloud can't really say anything too loud without Ayaka hearing, since she's right here in the room still... He decides to get up, taking the magi-comm with him to go find his Healing Materia in his drawer- along with the bangle to slot it into. Instead, he speaks a little quieter. ]

She's really soft. [ ...like, ] Fluff on top of fluff.

[Zack doesn't quite burst out laughing, but it's there in his voice and the grin that spreads across his face. He'll lower his voice a little, too]

Yeah? She looks it, too. Fluffiest cat I've ever seen.

[sultanofsquat]

[ Hahah...yeah. Ayaka's ruining cats for all the others. In a good way. ]

Gonna hafta delay my trip back to Tokyo for a couple more days.

[ He had some business across the tracks now that he'd moved, but he also was going to spend time with Zack literally every single time he had the chance to. In fact, that actually was his biggest reason for coming back! He might have mixed feelings about Neo Midgar itself, but the people living in it...they really did change for the better. And he wasn't going to stay far away, even with the life and path he continues to carve in this world. ]

I'd be pretty surprised if you didn't.

[it only made sense that Cloud would stay until things got back to normal] Unless you've got something super important going on back here, don't worry too much about it. Just focus on your girl, yeah?

[sultanofsquat]

[ He sighs...not because he's disappointed about having to delay his return to Tokyo. It's not pressing...and he knows that Zack is very supportive of him. So his worries stem to a certain fluffball in the room, the blond sparing a glance off camera back at her. ]

Right. [ His brow furrows. ] Gotta figure out how to reverse this...

If one of the other refugees don't have an answer, the guys at the NRL might. [he doesn't look like he likes making that suggestion, but it'd be silly not to at least keep the option in mind. He knows it's hard not to worry at all, but he's sure Cloud and Ayaka will find the answer sooner rather than later. But as cute as it is, he isn't going to tease too much, and especially not when the blond looks that concerned]

But I'm sure you two will figure it out before you gotta do that.

[sultanofsquat]

'Fraid you would say that. [ It's not that the scientists back at the NRL were ever misleading. But Cloud shares the same sentiments that Zack carries. Even if his memories were still hazy in some spots. Scientists and labs weren't exactly on good terms with the blond. He'll stay grateful for his new sword, but beyond that? The less he has to deal with them directly, the better. And yet... Zack might be right. ]

Trust me, I didn't like saying it. [still, he looks apologetic. And he even has a few reasons beyond what Cloud doesn't remember. He's right there sharing the "the less, the better" sentiment] Hopefully it doesn't come to that.
