[ The video starts off with a cat. A very fluffy cat with familiar ribbons where a cat's "side bangs" would be, and a familiar tiara-like ponytail… Said cat's fluffy tail is up as it is perched on someone she's comfortable with. As for said ‘comfortable someone’, all one can see of him is his midsection- a ribbed, sleeveless turtleneck top with his face out of shot. The focus of this was, after all, on the teeny fluffball. ]

Okay. We’re rolling.

[ Clearing her throat, which sounds like a cat trying to cough up a fur ball, she begins to speak: ]

Greetings. My name is Kamisato Ayaka, and as you can see, I have turned into a cat.

[ But because she is a cat? All one would be able to hear is her meowing at the camera. Literal "nya" and "meow" sounds, and no actual words being spoken. She… thinks people can understand her, because Cloud sure can. ]

Nya nya nya, nya nya nyanyanya, nya nya… [ She's talking about how this is probably Kizuna and asking if there is a way to reverse it as soon as possible because she has work to do… her ears fold inward and she "nyaa"s sadly. Out of shot, there’s a soft sigh before the magi-comm’s camera is angled up, leaving just the head of Nyayaka barely in frame as Cloud leans down a little to show up. ]

Right. That just about covers everything. [ covers what ] Anyone that’s got any ideas, thanks in advance.

[ The camera angles back down to Miss Kameowsato. ]

Nya.

[ Ever polite, Ayaka bows her head as thanks. ]

Think you got it, [ says an out of shot Cloud, hand coming down to gently pat her atop her floofy head before he reaches to stop the recording. ]

An engine...

[ Okay, she can imagine something, sort of? Like a bicycle with an engine attached to it! How big is the engine, though? In her head, it is not very small... ]

What of your pedaling? Would your legs give out because it is moving too fast?

That's just it.

The engine's what makes the bike go. You twist one of the handlebars to accelerate. No pedals involved.

If I had a map of Inazuma, I could tell you how fast I could cross it.

[ She still looks rather perplexed. At the very least, she's thinking, using her brain to imagine what a motorcycle looks like, but. . . ]

I am having difficulty imagining it.

But my brother did get that... "car". Perhaps we will be able to find a "motorcycle" here.

Hmm...

[ What can he do... He can only use words and gesture so much and- gesture? Gesture. That's a start! ]

[ Cloud suddenly scoots back from the table and pops back to his feet. So sudden... ]

Be back in a quick sec. Got an idea.

[ And just like that, it's Cloud's turn to go running back up the stairs. ...only this time, his excuse wasn't anywhere near as embarrassing as hers. He's not naked. KJFHDAS ]

[ And sure enough, the hasted pitterpatter of his feet can be heard thumping down the steps as he wastes very little time in returning back to the table. He only had a couple bites left of his rice and egg anyway... He didn't make a lot of egg, since she was still a kitten at the time. In his hand? A piece of paper torn from a notepad and a pen. He's not tired in the slightest from how quickly he's come and gone. With a content little huff, he plops back down...in seiza stance again.

If he's going to try and share with her? He's going to have to take some extra steps where needed. ~~Even if he unintentionally comes off as an eager dork in the process.~~ ]

Right. So...

[ He sets the piece of paper between them, there being enough room with just bowls of egg and rice and cups of tea nearby. ]

We got a bike...

[ He's not an artist. He's not even going to pretend that he's an artist. Instead, he just starts drawing the lines. The circles. The person riding on top of it. And some scratched in hair on top. Behold. ]

[ Ayaka has finished her bowl by the time Cloud has come back. As he draws, she gets on her knees to watch, curious and ever so alert. Could her imagination be close to the real thing?

Well... the real drawing, anyway.

But... oh! ]

You're riding the... the bike!

Yup. So take this, but... [ He continues to scribble in. Right now, he's not trying to win any rewards for artwork. For all intents and purposes, it's a crudely drawn stick figure on top of what appears to be a bicycle. He'd be there forever if he fussed over the details and angles... ] Make the body of the bike bigger.

[ Beneath the stick figure rider that's supposed to be him, Cloud starts drawing in a broader, more filled in space that makes it look like he's riding something...fatter, on wheels. It's not just a metal frame anymore. But more importantly? ]

That's where the engine goes. [ He taps the space in which his stick form is straddling. But then, out the back, over the hind wheel, he draws big cylindrical exhausts. With what appears to be...smoke? Puffs of clouds? Something's blowing out the back. ] And these are like...

[ Hmm... Would she even know what an "exhaust" was in this context? Think...think... !!! ]

Pipes. Pipes to let out all the heat and waste that builds up while you ride.

I understand a little better now.

[ But she thinks seeing the real thing would be more ideal! Even then, Cloud is doing a good job of #1) being patient with her, and #2) feeding her imagination. ]

Would I be able to ride with you, then? I do not know if I am capable of operating it, but I would like to try it with you if you are able to get one here.

Good.

[ Then he doesn't have anything to worry about. The only problem now was, how could a motorbike work in this world? ...and be satisfactory, that is. Because while he wouldn't necessarily call himself a "speed freak"? He also knows how damn good he is while riding one. It could come in handy when traversing between places that don't require a train! ]

You wanna? [ That takes him by surprise... He knows that she's strong and capable of handling herself in all kinds of situations. But still. ] You can ride with me no problem. If I figure out how to get one here, you'll be the first person I pick up.

Thank you for being patient with me. I do not know if these sorts of things exist outside of Inazuma, but... I hope they are. So that there would be more things my world has in common with yours.

[ This likely won't be the last time Ayaka won't know something, so she appreciates Cloud explaining things to her! ]

Well... I admit, I've gotten curious. Hopefully it is nothing like the roller coaster that Aether and I went on. That one was rather terrifying.

Well... [ It's something that's crossed his mind before. There's still unfinished business in his world. And it's not something he lingers on for very long- the thought of having to return home. People have lost their memories of this place, or returned to not recall their previous encounters. Just like Lumine... In turn? Just like Ayaka once did. Even Cloud had a previous version of himself that made connections with others... Armed with this knowledge, though, he can't help but feel more assured. Assured that he was going to find more answers to this world, and how it links back to his. How it connects to Teyvat.

Because to him? His time spent here in Nippon had become more than just a means of a safe haven until their worlds were fixed. No matter what happens...and what he has to fulfill back home, he's not letting her go. And if that was the case? Then... ] If I ever wind up on Inazuma's shores, I'll take you away to find out.

[ Now then. About motorcycles. ]

I'll take things nice and slow. Assuming any tech I can get my hands on here comes close to what I've driven back home. [ Setting the paper aside now that he's gotten the point across, he decides to quickly scoop up what's left in his bowl. The leftover rice will get packed up and stored in his fridge until Ayaka saw fit to show him her favorite comfort food! ] What was it like? Only heard of them, but I've never ridden one myself.

If you wind up in Inazuma's shores... [ Admittedly, Ayaka has... never really considered it until now. For a moment, she looks thoughtful, imagining how Cloud would be like, and what her life will become if he were in Inazuma with her.

... ah. Now her cheeks turn red, and she shakes her head rapidly to put away those thoughts of living under the same roof together. It's- It's much too early for that! ]

The roller coaster was... like a wagon? Aether said we should sit in front, so we did. It would begin slowly, but gain speed the farther you go from the station. Then, the tracks would lead you to a slope— a very high one, at that. [ As she explains, she demonstrates with her hand, pretending it is a cart. ] At the very peak of it all, it drops, as if the machine was no longer working! [ She shows that with her hand, too. ] Then it continues to follow the track, so quickly that you can barely see anything, until you're back where you started!

[ To Ayaka's credit, Cloud is paying attention, hands in his lap after finishing the bowl off. His eyes follow her hand when the makeshift cart reaches the very tip-top of the railing...only to come dropping right back down. There's an innocent sense of wonder on his face as he blinks curiously. ]

Were there any loops? The ones I've seen on TV back home had them.

Loops?

[ Yet again, she is clueless... ]

I'm not certain what you mean.

Oh. [ That answers that. ] Um...so, take your cart?

[ This time, it's Cloud's turn to mimic Ayaka's hand motions. It goes down the imaginary rails from the very top. But suddenly, ]

And at certain points the rails twist up... [ His hand goes in a circular motion. Up and then down! ] ...and all the way back around. You wind up going upside down.

Oh my... I thought what we rode was terrifying already. A loop sounds even moreso.

[ 😔 So no, there were no loops, Cloud. ]

Aether would probably like it, though.

Mm... [ He shakes his head. ] I've never tried yet.

So, you two are already ahead of me.

[ He contemplates whether or not Ayaka should join him on a rollercoaster like that someday if the time ever came. But considering that she was frazzled by the one she rode in the first place? He concedes and withdraws the invite. She's safe. ~~For now.~~ ]

Then again... I dunno if I could handle one anymore. Lately I've been having a harder time taking the trains here.

Yes, it was worrisome whenever you looked sick upon arriving from Tokyo...

[ It was a very long trip after all! It was even more worrisome when Cloud took the very fast trains. When Ayaka noticed, she'd begun asking him if she could the one to visit him to alleviate some of the stress he bears. ]

Maybe there are slower rides we can try some time.

[ like his dick KAJDJAKD ]

When I was younger, I used to have a serious problem with motion sickness. Take a car ride? Sick. Cross the ocean by boat? Sick. Sitting on a train? Hoo boy.

Like to think I've gotten better about it though.

[ "Maybe there are slower rides we can try some time." ]

... Hm. [ That nets her another smile again. ] Like my bike if I ever get one here.

[ Nice and slow. ...till they're ready to go hard and fast— WAIT ]

Hehe. Then let us find a bike that you like!

[ It sounds very exciting! Ayaka's looking forward to it, and would like for them to start looking. She'll do her very best for him, and that means supporting him in things he wants to do. ]

[ Her enthusiasm doesn't necessarily catch him by surprise, but it still leaves him watching her back with a sense of wonder. When she said she wanted to learn more about his own interests... He didn't doubt her for a second, but to hear it still was a different feeling entirely. Which is why his smile grows from earlier, nodding with a bit more enthusiasm than usual, spikes of blond bouncing with. ]

I'll be counting on you, Ayaka.

Thank you for preparing breakfast, by the way. I hope we can do something like this more often.

[ Fun sleepovers and breakfast together! It means she gets to start her day with him... that's something she finds so nice. ]

Shall I clean up? We can go to the market afterwards.

Yeah... [ Though he has to add, ] Next time with non-kitty sized portions.

[ Their meals are polished off, and he has an entire pot of freshly cooked rice to put away for later! Hopping back to his feet, taking his bowl and chopsticks with him (the paper and pen can leave after), he turns to Ayaka with a nod when offering to clean up. ]

Works for me.

[ But he's going to be following her into the kitchen to clean. Team effort! ]

Yes! And we did discuss making mochi together before.

[ Lots of pounding!!

She gets up, as well, taking their bowls and cups with her on a tray to the kitchen. If Cloud wants to help, he'll be more than welcome to do so, but only if he allows Ayaka to take the lead! ]
