I don't have a lot of recipes that help with pride. This isn't the easiest place to maintain one's dignity. We rely on each other more than we might prefer.

It's been over a month.. maybe two. It's been rather eventful so it's been difficult to keep track. It's so different from where I'm from. I'm told I'm from the distant past compared to here. Are you familiar with the technology?

I'm not familiar with the technology but that is more because it's very old fashioned where I'm from.

Some of the things are vaguely familiar and very outdated. And magic is definitely something I wasn't expecting here, either.

You've been here a month. I've been told the longer you are here, the more likely you are to develop...Lycanthrope traits. Have you seen anyone like that who hasn't already lived here for a long time? Is there any rhyme or reason to it?

Are you from a world that doesn't have magic or is it a different kind of magic?

From what I understand it's most common among those who have been here a while, but a junior I know has developed traits and he has been here about as long as I have.

[She gestures to herself.]

As you can see, I have not. It seems the type of animal has some connection to who you are- like a spirit animal or one that matches your personality. The speed at which you gain these traits tends to depend on how strong you form bonds with other people.

Are you concerned about these changes?
