[Tay's wearing a silver chain necklace, a pretty silk robe that's been left open, has a couple rings on his fingers, and he's holding a coffee mug. If anyone recognizes it, the background is Gaura and Henry's dining room. He gives the screen a warm smile and speaks in a gentle tone.]

Alright ladies and gentlemen, my name is Tay. I'm new here and I need to know the essentials!

I need to know where the party scene is. What clubs do you recommend? Where has the best drinks and music? If you'd rather show me, even better. I promise you, I can keep up.

Also, anyone know where I can get some more modern clothes?

Whatever you can tell me, I'd be most grateful. Thank you and I hope you all have a lovely day.

Well I can use magic. And I seem to be more closely tied to nature. There's also the allergy to iron that sucks a bit...

[He looks up as he thinks a bit.]

I'm still learning a lot of it honestly. I only found out I was one a few years ago.

Is your tie to nature why you have the uh.. the ears and scales?

[It's almost cute that this is a new thing for Riley. He can't imagine what a surprise that must've been. Just going along minding your business and then 'whoops' you're a Fae. (He's sure that's not how it really happened, but it's the story in his head).]

Is Henry one too? How is he helping you?

Oh no. I got those because bonding with people here can give you animal features sometimes.

[He smiles because honestly he loves them. Mainly because he got them after sleeping with his boyfriends for the first time.]

Also Henry's human. But he's got a lot of experience with the Fae. So it's nice to talk to someone who understands what they're like and why I'm not a fan of them.

[He frowns unhappily at that answer.]

Is there anyway to prevent that from happening? Not that yours isn't nice, but.. I just.. I don't want them.

[He's not totally sure Henry counts as a full human now with all of his weird fox parts, but thinking he's not is equally troubling.]

Why wouldn't you like what you are?

Um? Get lucky?

[He seriously has no idea. But he also doesn't mind his animal traits and even enjoys them.]

I think they're kind of fun honestly.

[Which he just shrugs about as he answers the question.]

I'm something called a Changeling. The Fae will sometimes replace a human child with a Fae one. In my case I was deathly ill so they abandoned me and took the human child that was actually born as Riley. My parents didn't give up on me though and got me fixed up and I lived a really normal childhood. Some weird things would happen but I was just like any other human kid.

Then when I was eighteen the Fae realized I was still alive and have been trying to force me to become part of them since. But I'm not all that interested in being part of a people that gave up on me and couldn't be bothered to follow up on me for years.

You think it's fun? Don't you think it's wrong to have this happen to our bodies without our say so? Did you get a say in being a.. what are you? Merman?

[He shakes his head as he listens to the horrible story.]

Huh.. that's really fucked up. I don't blame you for not wanting anything to do with them. So, you said you had an allergy to iron. Is that something you have because of here or from the Fae? I think I remember hearing some fairy tales about that.

I think I'm a fish. And no. That part sucks. But after six years of being someone trying to force me to do things at least this one is actually fun. I have cute gills and my boyfriends think the changes are cute.

[Which means he loves them too.]

Yeah. It's a Fae trait. A weakness for us. So because I'm actually full Fae I have it too.

[Hearing about his boyfriend- was that plural?- makes Tay smile softly.]

That's sweet of.. him? or them? Which did you say? The scales are pretty and with that perspective I can see why you wouldn't hate this.

[He taps his coffee cup thoughtfully for a moment with his nail.]

You should make sure you carry a pair of gloves with you. Would that be enough or would you need something more like a pot holder?

Them. Two. I have two boyfriends.

[He smiles as he holds up two fingers to further confirm that fact.]

Gloves? [Now he tilts his head.] Why would I need gloves?

[Oh the quiet judgment is so very strong, but it's being restrained by a tiny thread.]

They know about each other right?

[If not, Riley is about to get a face full of whatever's left of Tay's coffee (which.. isn't much but still. He'll go buy another one if he needs to!)]

In case you ever run into needing to touch iron? No one would be able to hurt you with it.

Yeah. We all live together actually. They're even from the same world. Both of them are so amazing. And beautiful too. Sometimes I wonder how I even compare to them but they like me so I must be doing something right.

[And they've both seen enough sadness so he's going to do all he can to keep them happy.]

I mean...things made of pure iron aren't actually that common. You're not likely to see iron just all over the place.

[Whew, crisis averted.]

I bet they'd say the same about you. Just enjoy being happy and don't spoil it with questions like that.

[Tay frowns and looks around. He realizes then the term he was confused on.]

Pure iron? So not like steel. Oh, well that makes things a lot easier!

[He laughs at his mistake.]

I don't ask them things like that. They've had enough things to worry about so I'm just going to see that I make them smile as much as possible.

[His big goal in life currently.]

Yeah. Alloys and stuff aren't pure iron. You need cold iron to really do anything and it's not like that's just everywhere. You usually only see that in places specifically trying to ward again the supernatural. Which this place doesn't focus a lot on in case you haven't noticed.

[What with yokai wandering around and everything.]

[He smiles, glad for his friend's happiness even if there's some envy too. Though, he's unsure how he'd feel about sharing someone- willingly at least.]

I have not. It's not exactly been on my mind.

[He drains the rest of his coffee and nods to the door.]

Are you ready to show me where this tailor is?

Yeah. This way.

[He finishes his drink in several big gulps then gathers up the papers of his drawings.]

It's really close by actually. And the owners love to work on things that are unique and interesting. So they love my sketches.

They should because your sketches are well done. You'll have to show me when you make some more.

[He needs to get a sketch book while he's out. Between Riley and his friends they may be able to change some of the awful fashion around here.]

You're fortunate to have your boyfriends here. I keep hoping I'll hear that mine has arrived. I don't know what I'm going to do if he doesn't soon.

I met my boyfriends here honestly. They're from a much older time than I am. Another world.

[Which presents its own challenges but he doesn't mind that.]

I'm glad I have them though. They're really supportive of everything I am and want to be. Though I hope you can see yours soon.
