He doesn't answer the last message as he was dealing with directions on salves and bindings and the like. Then it was getting the onsen ready along with shaving implements. And clothes, towels, the like. Maybe he had found something with color and texture to it, but he isn't going to say anything.

"Ready, Vegas?" He calls out at the doorway, still giving his cousin privacy. "Your chariot is ready to go~" He intends to get Vegas walking at least out the door and he can wheel him the shorter distance to the bathhouse.

Walking to the door isn't the hard part. It's getting up off the floor since he's on a futon not a bed that's difficult. He manages to roll onto his stomach and push himself up onto his knees. From there, it's a matter of holding onto the wall while he draws himself up to his feet. It takes a minute... or two, but he manages to get up and get to the door without too much additional pain. Every day is getting better. It's getting easier to do things like sit up or lay on his side without agony.

Once he gets a deep breath in, he makes his way to the door in small, shuffling steps, but smiles at Kinn when he opens it. At least his cousin is being a good sport about it. If it were just a walk to the toilet nearby he could make it, but to the bathhouse? That's a bit more than Vegas can handle just yet.

He dips his head, accepting the gratitude as he offers Vegas his arm for stability. "Yep." He'll keep his pace to match Vegas'. "Went back to the wharf. Found some interesting things."

He had gone back to the wharf to do some research and had found a discarded bundle of money. And by discarded, it was in the water in a moldy bag that looked like it had been sitting there for ages. The amount of yen within the bag he wasn't certain. He hadn't had the time to count it all, yet. And he'd been trying to dry out the money without letting everyone know.

"What's with you and this wharf?" Unless he found a trunk full of the kind of weapons they're accustomed to, what could be so interesting?

Vegas does take hold of his arm, though. After about a dozen feet he'll need the support.

"Well, the wharf isn't anything like our little dock side kingdom, but it does have and interesting flair. Found an old bag with a hefty bit of money in it."

Yes, he is preening a bit. And not above stealing what looked like an abandoned bag, either.

Kinn nodded, returning the grin with a smirk of his own. "And some furniture for the good doctor for letting us stay here."

"That's fortunate." He was glad though. Having their own space would be more comfortable, for sure.

Kinn nodded. "So I'll start scouting the real estate around here. I have a feeling we're not going to get much more modern than this, however." He's been scouting around Nippon all month, really. Nothing is really past the 1920s around here. If there was one thing he was confident about, it was that he could get housing at a decent price.

"As long as we can find some Western-styled furniture, it'll be fine." Beds are important. Couches too. And maybe a coffee table to put their drinks on. HE nudged Kinn playfully. "Now's when we get to prove we're not just spoiled rich kids."

"I was never a spoiled rich kid," he sniffs, looking dour, then cracks up a bit. It's subtle, a softening of his mouth and a relaxing shift in his posture. He's back a bit to his old self, before Porsche. Cold and unapproachable.

"But I agree. Actual furniture is a definite thing on the list." Even if they have to make it themselves. Maybe. Technically he could hammer a nail into wood but would the pieces stay together? Probably not.

"I'm surprised they have free-standing toilets here." Not that squat toilets were unheard of where they're from, but did they have them in their homes? NO!

The older places have them. Dorms, places where they have to hold people cheaply. "You weren't in the dormitories they have for the refugees." Kinn knows all too well. It was the best way to 'blend in' while he was trying to get his footing around here.
