To all who may have been accosted by an overly enthusiastic child last month, I apologise, for I knew only love and not fear at that age and was rather supremely spoilt. I hope I did not inconvience anyone overly, and I thank those who were so kind to me in turn.

But would I be truly lying, if I said that Jin Mi is good, and sweet, and has always been kind to me?

[She tries to be those things now especially! Her father and aunt would want her to be good.]

You helped me. I wouldn't be mean to someone who helps me.

[ Some would, Maglor knows, but he won't burden her with that knowledge ]

But that changes not that you did help me. [ He says fondly ] And so I am grateful.

Do you like hummingbirds? [She's flustered and embarrassed, but also she wants to see him again.]

We...have a nest. A really tiny one.

Hummingbirds are very small! I'm not surprised their nest is too. But how fortunate - you will be able to see their babies.

I can't wait! [She will be a happy godmother~] Phoenix and I are protecting them.

I am sure they will be grateful! Have you managed to get them to light on your hand to feed?

[watergrape]

They land everywhere if you sit under their feeder! It's cute.

How sweet - they must know that you will do them no harm.

Why would I harm a tiny bird? Even if they ate a grape, I would forgive them.

It's weird to think about people being mean to something so cute.

Some folk are just cruel, unfortunately. [ He says sadly ] But I am sure they feel safe with you.

I never knew anyone cruel in the Water Mirror. I guess I was protected.

You were, and I am glad for it! The innocent can only remain so, so long as they are guarded. I am glad you never had to know that grief.
