Hey. If anyone out there can hear me I'd like some help finding a way to the a forest of some kind. My sense of smell is really thrown here so I haven't been able to figure out which way is up let alone which way is not city.

[He offers a smile but his eyes, though seeming bright, don't seem to ever focus on the screen before he fumbles with things to try to turn if off.]

Crap. What is the off...?

[He ends the recording completely on accident. But it's also what he wants so...great?]

I like it. Even if I was never into Christianity myself. They're not usually that big on things like werewolves and vampires.

It was my choice. The pack that raised me let me decide what I wanted when I became an adult and I picked them.

So you don't do the whole change thing until you're an adult?

You kind of get locked into whatever age you change into. So they aren't big on kids being stuck that way forever. At least, my pack wasn't.

So your pack start off as regular humans and then when the time comes, it's bite time?

[He pushes his fingers through his hair.]

They haven't for around a hundred years though. They got killed off by hunters.

[After all, you don't often hear about an entire group of people taking in an orphaned kid just to make sure he'll have a good life.]

The forests are where they raised me though so that's what I know the best.

I can appreciate that. Going back to what is most familiar.

[And isn't that what his people are doing? the bar is in the thick of Port Market and the hotel isn't far away from there.]

And sometimes in a place that's truly foreign, finding something familiar is the only way to keep yourself sane.

This place has been hell on my senses. The noises are different, the scents strange...

I'm usually pretty good at those at least. Well as long as it's not the every growing technology. I struggle a bit there.

[ Okay, so they can commiserate about how abyssmal the technology is. ]

I think this place is a cross between....some old fashioned gear thing and magic. The devices are worse than a blackberry on Sprint.

I've heard of those but I've never used them. I'm...uh...very blind.
