[Here is Kinn, waving a little haphazardly.]

So, I'm out of commission for a few weeks.

[With a wan smile, he lifts up his splinted arm.]

I guess I got off lucky. So what do I do to entertain myself while I'm laid up?

[and have a smarmy smirk with a wink]

I'm left handed, after all.

Yeah. It's my element. I'm still learning what all I can do with it but I can definitely do a lot.

[Once down where they can do the laundry, he makes that clear but moving the water over so they can soak the bedding good.]

[He helps the best as he can. One handed. Which meant he's still mostly useless. ]

You can make ice. I'm assuming you can reverse that, too.

Yeah. Easily. [He pulls a ball of water to him and freezes it then unfreezes it. Just to show Kinn.]

[Watches for a moment.]

So... you're pulling the water out of the air by freezing it. Bet that might work pulling water out of the sheets.

[That makes the Fae blink because he's never thought of it that way but Kinn's honestly right.]

Wow. Well, might as well try now right? Let's put it on the line and then I can go for it.

Sure.

[ Helps wrangle the sheets up on the line and then takes a few steps back to wait. ]

[Standing there, Riley pulls in a deep breath. Then he lets himself connect to his element, pulling it toward him. Water slides out of the bedding as he closes his eyes, it hovers around him as he searches for the water to get out of the cloth entirely.]

[He doesn't dare say anything, but he's completely awe struck in what Riley's doing. So much so that he's having a hard time tamping down the Mafia in him on utilizing that skill. No, he doesn't want to, but the possibilities... ]

[Not until it's clear that Riley's done that Kinn puts out a low whistle and applauds a bit. ]

[Opening his eyes at the sound, he realizes that the bedding is completely dry. All of the water is circling around him. Eyes going wide at what he's done, he laughs then sends the water away.]

I did it! I really did it, P'Kinn!

Yes! [ Now he can properly cheer, going in for a hug now that the water is not going to douse him.]

You did great!

[Laughing, he leans into the hug and even returns it, unable to stop smiling.]

I've learned something new I can do! This is so cool!

Great job! This is awesome, Nong. I'm proud of you.

[ He keeps a firm hold on Riley, celebrating with him. ]

It was thanks to you! You noted how I moved the water and I knew I could do it if I did it like you said!

[Just that simply observation really did the trick and he's so excited about the fact.]

It was still all you, Nong. [ He grins warmly, petting Riley's hair. ]

Now you get to practice.

I will. I'm going to keep practicing so that way I can keep you and the others safe like you all keep me safe.

[Because he wants to help and he wants to protect.]

Good. You keep us safe this way, we will help protect you with knife fighting.

[ Because they need to make certain Riley can do that well. Just in case. ]

Between my magic, my sword fighting, and my knife fighting I'm going to be so scary!

[Says the person with the personality of cotton candy.]

You're going to be absolutely terrifying.

[He grins, gently chucking Riley's chin.]

[Riley laughs then pulls back finally so he can help gather up the bedding again.]

Let's go make the bed now that we've gotten it all clean!

Yeah. You still have some drawing you want to do, right?

There's a picture I did of Bangkok that I wanted to show you to make sure I had it right!

[So...yes. Basically.]

Let's get the bed made and you can show me.

[ Doesn't know why Riley would want a picture of Bangkok, but hey, when the muse hits... ]

[Up the stairs they go and after the bed is remade and they're comfortable, Riley grabs his book again to flip to a night scene of the city of Bangkok.]
