I’m not sure. I know Henry, Gaura’s fiancé is from something Victoria? Victorian? Something like that and Riley and Gaura are from a time later than that.

He arrives and when he spots his new friend, he gives him a proper bow.]

[He's getting used to the weird bows these 'period' people do and nods in greeting. Animal features will always throw him for a loop but he does his best to take it in stride.]

I wasn't sure if you liked to snack while playing or not. I brought my traveling chess set so I don't mind if it gets dirty.

This is a big place. Are you wanting to rebuild your clan here?

It depends on how spicy it is.

[ Which for him? Never spicy enough. He takes Jingyi out through the lobby into the courtyard and then hangs a left to his own quarters. ]

I do want to make certain I have enough room for whomever shows up. And maybe provide a safe place for people should they need it.

I understand. The Unclean Realm is big like this. I think the Nie clan was trying to have a place for anyone from our world too. I hope you fill your house here with lots of friends and family.

[He likes how clean and minimalistic Kinn's room is when they enter. He sees evidence of another person, but doesn't want to be rude and ask. He is curious though.]

[He can't help but be amused. After all, he wanted the spice, not the other way around. And technically, spice is a sort of poison.]

I do appreciate the meaning behind that, but I hope most of them stay home. I don't think my elder brother would fare well, here.

[Jingyi hums understandingly. He doesn't know anything about Kinn's family, but from how that sounded this elder brother must not be well in some manner.]

I don't think most of the Lan clan would do well here either. My master's uncle is a very rigid man. I believe he'd miss his duty giving lectures and tutoring the juniors. He wouldn't enjoy learning all the new things one must to be comfortable here.

I'm grateful my uncle was here quite a while when I arrived and then I met Gaura and Henry. They've helped me whenever I don't understand a custom or tradition.

They are and they're very generous. I'm not much of a gardener like they are, but they offer so much of what they grow to others so everyone has enough to eat.

You have so much room here, do you think you'd want to help newcomers too? I didn't have to go to the free housing when I arrived since my clan was already here but it might be more pleasant coming here. There would be more people to ask for help.
